Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by A Very Bad Experience When we arrived about 5 PM we were not greeted as Platinum Members,nor were we offered the welcome gift/500pts. When we asked if any upgrades were available we were told that we could check back later in the evening if more guests did not check-in. (The hotel was far from full that night.) In addition, we had requested the top floor in our reservation. We were given a room on the bottom floor. When we asked why, we were told "I can't kick people out of their rooms to accommodate you". Again, the hotel was far from full! The clerk was more obstructive rather than welcoming and customer oriented! As we entered our room we noted a doggy odor and found the walls to be scraped and marred from the furniture, which was all very worn. In fact, the doors were missing from the TV/refrigerator cabinet. There was considerable dirt/debris visible in the cabinet around the refrigerator. We had to unplug the refrig. because it made such a loud noise that it interfered with our sleep. The sink stopper was broken off in the bathroom and the tub caulking needed repair. When we checked in we were given a wifi code. It didn't work so I checked with the front desk. A different clerk, stated that "it hasn't worked for a while." She didn't know why we were given that code but gave me a code for another wifi system that could be used. That wifi worked in the lobby but did not reach our room. So much for wifi in the rooms!! The only good news was that the breakfast attendant was fantastic. She was efficient, friendly, and very customer oriented. Completely opposite from our experience the night before! April 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Repeat Customer This was my 3rd stay at this hotel. We have visited several times because we have a child in college in the area. On this trip, we got there earlier than expected. Our room wasn't ready, however, they gave us an upgrade to a room that was available. It was a VERY NICE SUITE. I am now spoiled and will want this treatment each time! HAHA We will continue to stay here when we visit in the upcoming years. Thank you! April 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The best Holiday Inns we have ever stayed at! The staff is the reason! Every staff member greeted us and asked if there was anything they could do to assist us. Our reservation was assigned to the wrong room, but one of the managers: Elisha quickly solved the problem and had us in the room we wanted. Facilities are in great shap. Rooms are clean and modern. Fitness center is well equiped. There is also an indoor heated pool. We did not have time for breakfast, but appeared to have all the standard Holiday Inn breakfast choices. If we are ever near the Clinton, Ms area again we will certainly be staying here!@ April 20, 2015

Late night check in and had to stand at the front desk and wait for about 10 minutes before front desk staff arrived to check me in. Breakfast attendant the next morning was fantastic and really went above and beyond what was expected. Even helping my little ones get yogurt and pancakes. April 18, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bath Tub drained into room Only issue with this hotel was the tub drained into the room and flooded it. Evident has been doing this for a long time as wood is rotten from being wet often. No other room available and we had to clean it up, not the hotel staff. No adjustment in price when we checked out. No call from manager. Appears they know of this and don't want to invest in fixing it. If you get room 125 bring your waders. April 14, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Over three months of hotel rooms and this is the best! First of all I would certainly say go to this hotel and stay there if you were staying anywhere in the vicinity of Jackson, Mississippi. The city is not a very large city, so large that you could not find yourself convenience by staying at this hotel if you are here on business or pleasure. Between all of the highways and the shortcuts through the city, you certainly have easy access from this hotel. So there's no reason to not stay here with that particular concern. However, secondly, I would like to emphasize that I went to other hotels in the area at its store level as well as higher than its store level and found this to be the best held hotel. I would certainly say that from the general manager to the manager and to the employees all the way to the group representative, I had opportunity to meet them all, along with the girls that were making cookies for every room, and the girls that clean the rooms, the girl that makes the breakfast, and also several others who did they are very important parts to make my stay just great. The difference is that I noticed immediately right off the bat, were that they were always concerned about the appearance of the property, and the ability to provide attention to their customers, there're awareness of working quietly in a place that I have to consider my Home for weeks at a time, and they are cares and concerns about my complete and utter happiness. I just don't think that I've seen the likes of it in a long time at many hotels. So, I would wish to congratulate all of the staff members for having consistently perform their job so well that I literally told them that I wanted to do this recommendation on the line, unsolicited, however much anticipated. Now, my wife is in the hospitality industry, and works in the resort environments, and there is only one thing that could be better, and that is if this particular hotel was directly by the ocean. I will say that the bed was extremely comfortable, the conferencing areas along with the large conference room they could probably hold 60 to 70 people inside was very convenient, the willingness to help me set everything up was excellent, the room was always clean and the hallways and the four year, and the parking lot, just everything overall was an excellent stay. I am opening a small business in the area here in Jackson Mississippi and I do plan to continue using this specific hotel as the hotel of preference for my guests and future employees as well as executive layovers.
