Stay here quite often. Good service. Hotel does need decorative updates. Like most Holida Inn Express locations, the breakfast menu is outdatef and needs improvement.

Hol Inn Express has the most comfy beds!
Staff in Clinton very friendly.
We stay here whenever we visit our older relatives who live in a retirement home in Clinton.

Staff member was referring to guests as savages. Pool has a four inch mildew stain around the top lip that looks disgusting. Two days in a row no pool towels provided. Emergency phone by pool didn't work. Ac unit in room decided to drip water on the floor next to my bed and my briefcase got soaked. Just a run down property in need of corporate supervision.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, position is good, but reception services aren't good and staff doesn't seem happy to have you as a guest. No recognition for IHG Rewards Club Members.

We were pleased to have an opportunity to stay at the Holiday Inn during our brief visit. The breakfast area is especially welcoming. The location is convenient.

The only problem was need to be shown how to use the shower and the hair dryer and phone by bed did not work.
This was a good place to stay when in Clinton, Iowa.

The Staff was absolutely wonderful! Tina was wonderful at meeting our needs and making us feel comfortable away from home.
Julie was awesome at making sure the dining and food area was ready in the morning. She was great at getting things set up so we could get some breakfast before heading out to work in the morning.
Couldn't ask for a more friendly and helpful staff. The RTI team thanks you for your excellent service!

This is a fine Holiday Inn. It is typical. There was no recognition at all for status. When we asked for the late checkout, which is complimentary for platinum members, we had to explain the Holiday Inn policy. The room was clean. I felt like the price was a little high for a property and location of this nature, but I would return.

I was surprised on check in that there were no perks given to Platinum members (ie bottle of water with a snack). Everything about this location is good and I have no complaints about the stay, I was just surprised that nothing was given out as a perk on check in. My room was upgraded based on my Platinum status and it was appreciated.
I have only encountered one other HIE that I stayed at in Indiana that did not give out a perk at check in and I now stay at a different HIE that is closer to my destination as opposed to one in a higher traffic area of the "big city".

Staff did not acknowledge PLATINUM status. Had problem with drain in bathroom sink, Had to fix myself. No maintenance staff available. Slow on housekeeping. 3:PM before room was cleaned.
Overall, good facility. Stayed here before and would probably go to LeClaire next time.

Stayed here on a Saturday evening for a wedding reception my wife and I attended. Used points to book the stay last minute, had no issues. The only down part to our stay was the front desk cleck. She was rude and unfriendly.

I rolled up to this hotel thinking I had a free nights stay using my reward nights. When I tried to check in the desk attendant said she didn't see me in the system. So I ran out to the car to get my confirmation paperwork, thank god my wife printed it. =)
Gave the lady at the front my information and she was like.. uhhh.. sir your reservations were for yesterday. I totally screwed up and was ready to pay full price and lose my points. But she went above and beyond and fixed my reservations with my reward nights. She saved the day! I was really impressed by the staffs ability to come through for their clients.

This visit was to a small town which this property was the only IHG property available. If I was asked would I recommend this property to someone who had to stay in Clinton, IA then YES, but if you could stay 35mins away in another IHG property I would recommend that. The main problem we had was with the housekeepers. I am not sure if the Express Brand has changed their housekeeping standards to those similar to an extended stay Brand (Staybridge or Candlewood), but for the 3 nights we stayed our bedding was never changed.
After speaking to the front desk associate (FDA) we were informed that the above mentioned was correct, and that property were following extended stay IHG properties policies. We informed them that if they were following those policies that there should be signage stating that. After speaking to the FDM (Front Desk Manager) THROUGH the FDA we received 1 night free, only paying for 2 nights stay.
If we ever travel to this part of Iowa again after this experience I believe that I will have to stay 30+mins away from this property.
