Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tom P77 Definitely one of the better hotels in Clovis
Newer property. Away from RR tracks. Appreciated the full, hot breakfast. Typical Holiday Inn Express coffee - no bold or dark roast option.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Texasmoneypit On average hotel!
I stay at a lot of different hotels and many are Holiday Inn Expresses. This hotel staff is great. The hotel is clean and the rooms are as well. The A/C in the room both times I have stayed at this location was below average in performance. Not sure what the problem is, but it have been in three different rooms and all were about the same. If you are on business and want to relaxe and watch a little tv, they have a great listing of channels. Sleeping was not the best as my bed has never been comfortable at the location. Sorry, but facts are facts. I will stay here again as the choices are not that many in Clovis.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Daughter to College Great Place To Stay
I loved the atmosphere of the hotel, it was very inviting and loved the decor as you walk into the entrance of the hotel. Staff was immediately attentive, helpful and quick to get us into our rooms. There was also a seating area with a fireplace that was very comfortable as we sat there later in the evening and just had conversation. The rooms were very clean and updated with modern furniture. It was one of the nicest Holiday Inn Express I've ever stayed at. The breakfast offered many options and the Host was very friendly and accommodating to the needs of those eating. She kept all the food items fully stocked. The beds were very comfortable and especially loved the wonderful, fluffy pillows.
The only down side to our stay was that our room was near the pool. Other guests that were swimming were very loud entering and exiting the pool area. I do not blame this on the guest as they are there to enjoy the accommodations. My suggestion is to ask for a room no where near the pool. In hindsight, I should have asked to be moved to another room.
Overall - it was a great stay.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jeanie and Tom Excellent accommodations and friendly service.
We had a wonderful experience at the Holiday Inn Express in Clovis, NM. We arrived without reservations and were treated very kindly by the hotel clerk. She was very helpful. The hotel lobby was very clean and inviting. The hallways were clean. The room was excellent...roomy and comfortable. Everything was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of electrical outlets within easy reach. There were excellent mirrors for dressing. The shower was wonderful. And if all that wasn't enough, the breakfast buffet the next morning was superior....omelets, ham, sausage, biscuits and gravy, any kind of bread you wanted, fresh pancakes, hot cinnamon rolls, delicious fruit juices and wonderful coffee. I cannot say enough about our stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Clovis, NM!

No problems with hotel. The comforter can be a little hot in the summer as it's kind of puffy style.

Our company is working at the military base right outside this small town and I have to visit the project site for a few days twice per month. There are three newer executive quality hotels in Clovis, NM and a smattering of very dated hotels without business amenities that a lot of the construction trade crews stay at.
This hotel is consistent in quality and amenities with the Holiday Inn Express brand and is a nice facility. The only trouble I had during my stay was that the room thermostat/HVAC was not functioning upon my arrival, though this was promptly resolved when the desk clerk came to my room and unplugged the electrical cord to the HVAC unit resetting it.
My only issue with this location is the exorbitant cost per night. They are one of only 3 newer hotels with business amenities and the price reflects the supply & demand. The next town is 26 miles away with one Holiday Inn Express or you can travel over 50 miles to the next decent hotel.
Nonetheless, I highly recommend this Holiday Inn Express over all the other hotels in the city.
