Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room and friendly service We really enjoyed our stay at this inn, so much so that we decided to make another reservation at the Colby Holiday Inn Express on our way back. Mostly I appreciated the friendly service and nice rooms. My one caveat is that the hot tub was very poor--the jets were weak and it was too hot even for a hot tub so not pleasant. And the pool seemed at the other extreme--too cold, and by the evening it was dirty. Otherwise, everything was very nice! June 30, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Felt Like I Was At A Kennel I will agree with other reviews about this being a nice facility, BUT, it seemed like everywhere I looked I saw a guest with a dog or multiple dogs. I gave the facility a poor because of this issue. I am a H.I.X. platinum club member, and I have stayed here several times before, but will pass it by next time. My concern is how do I know if the room I was staying in was not previously occupied by an animal. I also observed dog owners allowing the animal to do their "business" on the nearest green space rather than moving away from the property to keep the filth away form other guests. I rate cleanliness of the facility terrible because of this. June 8, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Customer Service/Recognition of PCM As a priority member, we asked for a bottle of water and the desk staff asked if we received one already and that they don't give more than one. My wife and I were staying there. As a top member, is it necessary to ask questions, really? And no, no water was given on check in. This is not just this Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express. We have experiences this will numerous Holiday Inns. Thanks for asking. May 19, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sand paper sheets Each night the sheets felt as if they were made out of sand paper. I barely slept. I travel on business and I have to iron shirts in the morning. The ironing boards had an attachment at the wide end to hold the iron when not in use. How stupid is that? They take away half the board. May 15, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The whole experience The whole experience of this Holiday Inn Express was great. We were on our way to Colorado and unfortunately I70 closed and we decided to stay in Colby. It was later than we had planned to stop but the gentleman at the desk was great. The room was quite, clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was very good. Plenty of coffee which is important to us. We are very sold on the hotels. As a matter of fact we used Holiday Inn Express Hotels for our whole trip. Thank you. April 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff with great breakfast We have stayed twice at this Holiday Inn Express and had great experiences both times. The rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds. The entire hotel is non-smoking which is great and they will accept pets, although ours weren't with us on these trips. They only slight issue each time was the heating/cooling unit. The first room was stuffy and we could not get it to cool off well, the second room was a good temperature but the cooling system was a bit noisy/droning when it clicked on. The hotel rooms were well sound proofed as we heard no noise from any other rooms or the hall, despite the hotel being very full both times we stayed. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is delicious. April 8, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bring your pets! This Holdiay Inn is very up to date, and nice. Our room had a wonderful decor and was nicer then any Holiday Inn that I have stayed in! They are pet friendly, and we were able to bring our dog in the room for a $ 25.00 fee. They served a very nice breakfast, from what I could see, but we were unable to stay to enjoy it. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service, clean and updated Kudos to your employee on duty on 12/31/12. She had our keys ready as if she were expecting us. She was attentive to all of our needs, and even gave my daughter a bag of microwave popcorn that she had brought to work for herself, since the hotel shop was out. When we called for a roll-away bed, she was outside our door with it within two minutes! Very friendly and great service. Rooms are updated and comfortable, pool and hot tub were clean and a wonderful bonus after a long day on the road, and the hotel was nice and quiet. Good location - would definitely stay here again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 GREAT STOP on the way through Kansas! We stopped here on our way through Kansas to Colorado. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We were able to have our dog with us (for an additional fee of course) and the room did not smell like dog like some rooms do that are "designated" for pets. The hot tub and pool were very relaxing and fun for my family. The breakfast had a large variety of choices - not gourmet, mind you, but good for a quick morning breakfast before heading out. The clerk was polite and greeted us in a good manner. I would recommend that you start looking at your breakfast menu again and do a little changing. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Breakfast The room and hotel where great, the bed was wounderful however, the breakfast was awful the bread was stale, the omelet uneatable. if you cant serve fresh food then just offer cold cereal. Due to the fact there are so many choises when it comes to hotels, we will not be staying at a Holiday Inn again because the breakfasts are consistatly bad. October 16, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by First Visit to Holiday Inn Express, Colby, Kansas After a very long drive it was a pleasure to check in and go to our room. The room was very comfortable with great beds. Everything was very clean. The room was large enough for two adults and a large dog (even the dogs rather large dog bed fit into the room with space to walk). The front desk staff member was busy with answering the phone and taking care of guests who were checking in. She handled everything with professionalism and a smile. We left before breakfast was served so I cannot comment on the quality or service but, if it is of the same quality of the rooms I would expect a good experience. A very good experience and I would recommend staying at this property. October 14, 2012
