Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Warm room and hard bed We were in town for a softball tournament. The hotel was nice but the room never cooled. Half way through the night the AC seemed to not be working so with the hard bed you couldn't sleep well. It was really warm by the time we left the next morning. At least if the temperature was good it would have been okay. Breakfast was good and staff nice but didn't offer to discount the room or give us extra reward points. We like Holiday Inn Express and this is the 1st time that we have had a bad experience. Just feel like the amount we paid for 1 night was overpriced for the room we had. September 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff in College Station! This was the fourth hotel I stopped at looking for a room at 9:30pm. Other hotels were either booked or charging too much for their rooms. The staff here went out of there way to not only get me a room, but understanding how tired I was, upgraded me to a suite. I sure needed that! I also had to extend my stay and the staff went out of their way to make sure I could stay in the same room. Very impressive place all because of the people that work there. September 29, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel experience We stay at this Hotel quite frequent. I have never been disappointed with the quality of the Staff. They have always been helpful, even if there was a problem. The rooms are always clean and when requesting additional towels very nice. We have never had a problem with the rooms or service. The breakfast bar is nice has a good selection for being able to eat and get on with the rest of the day. I have booked rooms for events already into 2015 at this hotel September 24, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing Experience I enjoyed my stay at this Holiday Inn Express mostly because of my ability to relax in a comfortable room, the low noise level, and the adequate/non-crowded fitness center. The only negative I experienced was the quality of the breakfast items. However, other guests informed me that the food choices they made panned out more positively. September 22, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Spacious Room This is one of biggest hotel rooms I have ever visited. The spacious room with a high ceiling make me comfortable and actually it's a huge room to stay alone. But TV is not big enough compared to the room size. Another thing I liked was the room equipped with a portable device charging hub which has multiple normal 110V power outlet and even direct USB ports. The fitness center was small so I had to get up earlier. Also air conditioner unit on the exterior wall under the window, which I don't like usually because of the noise, bothered me a little bit but it's normal if it's not a big hotel and has a central air conditioning system. WE ARE A FIRE DEPARTMENT, SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN STATE RATE, NO CHARGED FULL PRICE FIRST NIGHT, THEN HIGHER RATE THE REST OF THE WEEK. PEOPLE AT THE DESK COULD NOT FURNISH US WITH A TAX EXEMPT FORM. Friendly staff, nice business center, comfortable bed and room environment. If you have time to relax at this hotel, take a dip in the pool or give your heart 30 minutes at the gym. I was very satisfied at this property. Very clean, pleasant aroma upon entering. It smelled clean. professional staff both behind the counter and during morning breakfast. i would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Enjoy. July 24, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing for a loyal customer I am a loyal Holiday Inn Express customer, but this was the worst stay I have ever had with this chain. First- The air conditioner did not cool the room. The fan was stuck on low and we were unable to change it. Second- On our second night, a group of young men were booked into the hotel. Late into the night, they were running up and down the hall, slamming doors and shouting to each other. When I went to call the front desk, I realized the phone was not working. I had to call the front desk with my cell phone. The clerk at the desk assured me he would take care of the noise promptly, but the children's behavior did not change. Needless to say, we got little rest. Such a disappointment... July 14, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average hotel- good location This hotel was in a good location, with lots of restaurants to choose from. This was just an average hotel, nothing new about it. The price was way too much for this hotel. The pool is the size of a big hot tub. The bathroom floor was buckled and the door barely shut. The wi-fi didn't work either. So, if you want average, then choose this hotel. July 1, 2014

It's close to the campus and most major attractions. The staff was extremely friendly, access to the hotel with a room key only was a HUGE comfort, and the rooms were cleaned with extreme detail...not to mention that the price is definitelty right. I can absolutely recommend the Holiday Inn to anyone needing a hotel in College Station...you won't be dissapointed! June 26, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Stay somewhere else The temperature in the hallways and common areas of the building was hot, stale and uncomfortable. It was an unpleasant first impression. My family and I experienced issues with our key card malfunctioning early in the day as we were locked out of the side entrance carrying heavy bags, which was an inconvenience. Later in the evening as my wife and I returned to our room on the third floor our room key would not work. We were both burdened by bags and had just waited an extraordinary amount of time for the consistently slow elevator. I called the front desk from my cellphone and spoke with "Mia" asking if someone could bring us a room key because we were locked out of our room. Mia said I would have to come down. I mentioned the continuing trouble with the room and the inconvenience it was causing. She never apologized, and said, with an attitude, that she was busy and it would take a while before she would bring one up. I left the third floor and went to the lobby(using the stairs) and had to wait for her phone conversation to end before she re-programmed my key. I aske if she was the only person working to which she replied, "Yes." Then it occurred to me that the unsatisfactory service was a staffing issue. The Wifi in the hotel was hit and miss at best. I sent an email to the general manager regarding the unpleasant stay and over two weeks later still haven't had a courtesy response. My family and I had a second multiple day reservation scheduled for this same location; however, I have already cancelled the reservation and booked with Marriott. June 20, 2014
