Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Short Ride to Texas A&M Minutes away from Texas A & M, this hotel is a gem. Adequate parking, overhang should you arrive during fowl weather. Friendly staff, nice business center, comfortable bed and room environment. If you have time to relax at this hotel, take a dip in the pool or give your heart 30 minutes at the gym. I was very satisfied at this property. Very clean, pleasant aroma upon entering. It smelled clean. professional staff both behind the counter and during morning breakfast. i would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Enjoy. July 24, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing for a loyal customer I am a loyal Holiday Inn Express customer, but this was the worst stay I have ever had with this chain. First- The air conditioner did not cool the room. The fan was stuck on low and we were unable to change it. Second- On our second night, a group of young men were booked into the hotel. Late into the night, they were running up and down the hall, slamming doors and shouting to each other. When I went to call the front desk, I realized the phone was not working. I had to call the front desk with my cell phone. The clerk at the desk assured me he would take care of the noise promptly, but the children's behavior did not change. Needless to say, we got little rest. Such a disappointment... July 14, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average hotel- good location This hotel was in a good location, with lots of restaurants to choose from. This was just an average hotel, nothing new about it. The price was way too much for this hotel. The pool is the size of a big hot tub. The bathroom floor was buckled and the door barely shut. The wi-fi didn't work either. So, if you want average, then choose this hotel. July 1, 2014

It's close to the campus and most major attractions. The staff was extremely friendly, access to the hotel with a room key only was a HUGE comfort, and the rooms were cleaned with extreme detail...not to mention that the price is definitelty right. I can absolutely recommend the Holiday Inn to anyone needing a hotel in College won't be dissapointed! June 26, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Stay somewhere else The temperature in the hallways and common areas of the building was hot, stale and uncomfortable. It was an unpleasant first impression. My family and I experienced issues with our key card malfunctioning early in the day as we were locked out of the side entrance carrying heavy bags, which was an inconvenience. Later in the evening as my wife and I returned to our room on the third floor our room key would not work. We were both burdened by bags and had just waited an extraordinary amount of time for the consistently slow elevator. I called the front desk from my cellphone and spoke with "Mia" asking if someone could bring us a room key because we were locked out of our room. Mia said I would have to come down. I mentioned the continuing trouble with the room and the inconvenience it was causing. She never apologized, and said, with an attitude, that she was busy and it would take a while before she would bring one up. I left the third floor and went to the lobby(using the stairs) and had to wait for her phone conversation to end before she re-programmed my key. I aske if she was the only person working to which she replied, "Yes." Then it occurred to me that the unsatisfactory service was a staffing issue. The Wifi in the hotel was hit and miss at best. I sent an email to the general manager regarding the unpleasant stay and over two weeks later still haven't had a courtesy response. My family and I had a second multiple day reservation scheduled for this same location; however, I have already cancelled the reservation and booked with Marriott. June 20, 2014

The GM, Anthony, was absolutely AMAZING! He and the entire staff were very pleasant and VERY accommodating. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. June 19, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Hotel - just don't go for Internet service Could not have been more pleased with room quality, bedding, bathrooms, and hotel staff was so wonderful. Breakfast was a bit lacking but cinnamon rolls were good. The only real downside is the sketchy and difficult internet capability in rooms. We had little to no service unless we were down in the lobby all 4 of our days. And it was very difficult to try to log in each time we left the building. June 3, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by VERY Disappointed I have stayed at IHG brands all over the country and this is one I will NEVER return to. I booked this hotel because my daughter's high school team was booked here. When I checked in there was no mention that they had cancelled the team's reservation and rebooked the rooms. They left 16 girls, three coaches and a bus driver without rooms. They moved them to another hotel for the night but had not made arrangements for their second nights stay. The GM who cancelled their reservation left for the night and we as concerned parents were told we would have to wait until 8AM to speak with him. It took an act of congress to get this man to come back and take care of a situation he created. You weren't dealing with displaced adults, these were CHILDREN and no one had an answer or were willing to get one. The situation was resolved but it was done in a VERY unprofessional manner and it took 5 angry mothers raising a fuss to get it done. He behaved as if covering the cost of our stay and only ONE night of the girl's stay should be more than enough. His apology was less than enthusiastic and he tried to blame, the coach, the school district and anyone else he could blame instead of saying we messed up and this is what we are going to do to fix it. You DO NOT treat people this way. To top it off the property was dirty and no one seemed too concerned about it. April 1, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible customer service I recently stayed at this hotel. I've stayed at this location numerous times over the years. The service has continued to decline. I was scheduled to check out on Friday. When I got back to my room on Thursday night, everything in the fridge, on the bar and in the bathroom was thrown away. I contacted the front desk and told them what happened. I never heard anything back that night. When I checked out on Friday I left my number for the manager, it has been more than a week and I haven't heard anything from anyone at the hotel. This hotel is normally sold out so I don't think customer service is as important to a hotel that has to make sure everyone is satisfied so they will come back. They put the newspaper at the door only one morning. It may seem petty, but when you stay with a hotel chain more than 125 nights a year, it's the little things that make the difference. The eggs were cold,bacon was burnt. I asked for more bacon and the lady brought out more burnt bacon. Then there was no orange juice in one of the orange fillers. First time I have experienced this type of service at a Holiday Inn Express. February 11, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Maintenance The HVAC blew continuously both hot and cold. Initially no dial tone on the phone. It was fixed. Toilet did not flush properly. Fire alarm beeped requiring battery replacement. The Staff was helpful but could not resolve the HVAC issue. All others were taken care of. However, this many problems was beyond reason. An email to the GM got a credible response. He indicated his concern and desire to improve conditions for the future. December 16, 2013

It was terribly important for us as we were running a marathon that morning and getting checked out on time would be an issue. Other hotels also offered a late checkout, but we chose Holiday Inn Express. Big mistake. They told us we would have to be out by 1 p.m. when we checked in and were very short with us, saying that's the way it is. I explained we had a late checkout guaranteed, and it should be noted on reservation, but the desk clerks didn't care. December 11, 2013

We finished our business late in the afternoon after the first nigh but well after hotel checkout time. We had a two-night reservation, and I was expecting to have to pay for the extra night. The General Manager on duty at the time said "no problem" without any hesitation at all. Holiday Inns are my choice if possible owing to their dependability and value. November 29, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Comfortable bed, clean room, very well maintained We have been booking HIE College Station since our son went to A&M many years ago and have never been disappointed. We can always rely on a very clean room, fresh linens (not worn out) and the property has always been very well maintained. This last visit was no exception. We like that the rooms have a microwave and refrigerator which is helpful to us if we have to keep late hours working remotely. The WiFi is free and seemed reasonably fast. The only thing we *might* squawk is that the TV/ remote didn't work but was of little consequence to us as we were either out of the room or working when we returned. We were too tired to care to call the desk but did mention it on the way out. Again, a very small squawk for what otherwise is a reliably high-quality property. October 16, 2013
