I called to inquire about a car rental place prior to my arrival and your staff member was very professional and nice. When we checked in the front desk agent was WONDERFUL!! This hotel is so adorable, nice and clean and the rooms are large! Plus, it had all the amenities of a full service hotel!! Thank you again for your excellent service December 5, 2014

I would highly recommend Colorado Springs Central Holiday Inn Express to anyone that is taking a vacation or short business trip in the Colorado Springs area due to the beautiful scenery that surrounds you, short distance to downtown but most of all the feeling of comfort of staying at a hotel less than a year old. Also note, Memorial Hospital Colorado Springs is only a short distance away in case you require their services or your visiting a patient as in my instance on this trip. Overall great experience and I definitely will stay here and here only on any future trips to Colorado Springs. November 19, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by New and clean but what's with the blinking lights? I was told the hotel is six months old, which is good and bad. The good is it's exceptionally clean and nice. When I got to the room I was assigned I called and complained that it smelled like someone had been smoking in the room. The desk clerk said he could give me another room but first he had to come up and check the room himself. I found this surprising. I've never before had hotel staff imply that I was lying about a complaint. He couldn't smell anything but gave me another room, which was much better but still had some of the same smell. I decided it was not tobacco smoke but the lingering acrid smell of new paint, carpet, etc. The other problem was when I turned out the lights to go to sleep I noticed the smoke detector in the ceiling in the middle of the room had bright green blinking leds, that blinked randomly and annoyingly. I had to sleep with my sleep mask. Why? When I'm in a hotel I assume the engineering staff has verified that the smoke detectors work. I don't need the confirmation of blinking lights in my face all night long. Don't they know that the reason people rent hotel rooms is to SLEEP? November 14, 2014
