The room was clean and refreshing. However, the breakfast left something to be desired. The omelet was overcooked and felt like leather. There was only turkey sausage, the needs to be a choice for "REAL" meat eaters!

Loved everything about the hotel. I make a point of trying to stay at Holiday Inn Express Hotels whenever I travel.

We stayed the night at this property to be in close proximity to the Colonial Life Arena for the Paul McCartney Concert. We were not alone, as we ran into several other guests who were staying for the same reason. The rooms were excellent and the common areas were well maintained. The place was impeccably clean. We also enjoyed the welcome party. (although we learned about it by word of mouth from other guests. We were not told of this when we checked in). Understandably, the hotel was charging a premium rate for its rooms due to the special event. However, on the down side, the hotel staff did nothing to accommodate those going to the concert. First off, when we checked in, the front desk had no information on transportation options between the hotel and the venue. Then, despite many guests arriving at breakfast in the last half hour, the attendant did not replenish food as it ran out. Therefore, many people had a limited choice of breakfast items. In addition, and worst of all, they ran out of coffee 10 minutes before breakfast ended and it took several guest complaints for the staff to finally brew some more. If they are going to charge a premium for special events, then they should do more to accommodate guests going to the event. Some type of shuttle service would have been nice - even for A fee would not be a problem. Then - breakfast should have been stocked until the end and coffee should have been kept stocked beyond breakfast as many of the guests did not get back to the hotel until 1 or 2 AM (Most places I have stayed always have coffee and tea available as a courtesy for guests). The in-room coffee does not do it.. In summation, although the property is very nice, I am disappointed in the quality of service.
