The sign was the same but this is not a Holiday Inn Express hotel. Poorly ran, terrible amenities. Basically a bed and roof.

I have stayed at this hotel several times for both business and pleasure. I was totally disappointed in my experience this time.
I checked in with 3 grandkids and my wife. I asked the clerk for a room that would be suitable for all of us. I was assigned a room with a king bed and a sofa sleeper. the sofa sleeper was arranged so that you could not see the television. My wife asked the desk clerk for an additional pillow and was told they did not have any extras. I went downstairs and asked the clerk what does housekeeping do if they encounter a soiled pillow. She replied that they just work with what they have. That statement makes me wonder what I am resting my head on.
Breakfast was the usual fair and not much of it. I might add the hotel was not very crowded that night.

Every time I went to the front desk, the girl was in the breakfast room watching TV. I needed to extend my stay, the girl at the desk said they were sold out. I went to the website where I found available rooms. So I checked out in the morning only to check back into the same hotel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful when asked about the Columbus area for sightseeing purposes. The room was comfortable and roomy. Hotel is easy to find and has good parking. The complimentary breakfast had a large variety from which to choose. Everything we ate was tasty and filling. Checkout was easy.

I was driving through from California to Florida and needed a place to stay late night. Jay at the front desk was extremely cordial and accommodating. I chose Holiday Inn Express at my next stop in Florida based entirely on the customer service I received in Columbus. Nice work.

I paid in advance for the stay. I did not get a receipt from the hotel. I did ask for one but the lady at the desk said since I paid in advance it was not needed. After I got back home I had a charge of $23.50 from the hotel on my credit card. Still do not know what this charge was for.

The hotel needs to be refreshed as the bedding was horrible. The elevators did not work on arrival or departure, luckily room was on second floor and we didn't have much luggage. Breakfast was okay could have had bacon on the menu. Location is fine as it's off a major freeway and within 25 minute drive of waterpark. Did not recognize member status at check in. Would stay again but hotel needs some attention.
