The property was situated in a perfect location near OSU and Clintonville neighborhood. All was great with room and service. The staff was especially helpful and courteous.
Biggest minus is the ease and use of the business center. I strongly recommend the site invests in a good printer for that room. After a long day and trying to just print off boarding passes it ended-up taking an hour instead of minutes because the printer and/or connections were off. Luckily the single person on duty at the time, did try to intervene with troubleshooting the continued printer problems yet to no avail. I was able to use the office equipment to finally get the boarding passes.

I ended up getting a handicapped room. I thought this was fine. My brother was handicapped so i started to notice the handicapped amenities. Well this room is not up to standard at all. so many violations to the standard of handicapped rooms. the list of changes is long. room too heavy. towels to high. buzzer on wall is useless? shower curtain too high. no toilet seats for handicapped.

I stayed at this Holiday Inn Express several times during my son's stay at OSU and never had a bad experience. The location is convenient to the school, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is always ready to assist in any way they can. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Small gym, only cardio equipment. Lack luster breakfast. No snacks left out during the day. Too expensive for what you get.

We had to stay in Columbus for s Soccer Tournament. From the moment we were welcomed, until the staff wished us a safe drive home, we were impressed with the facility and the service. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and the area was kept clean by the staff. The lobby and pool were very nice. The room was high quality and clean. My family and I would return here again.

I was very thankful for the Holiday Inn staff I worked with. Other parties went thru Holiday Inn's reservation service and were not happy with the way they were treated. The staff at the Columbus OH Holiday Inn were wonderful to me both on the phone and in person. I will not go thru your reservation center again.

We will be coming back several times being that our daughter will be a student at OSU in the fall. Everything was great except for the pull out couch....not very comfortable. Other than that I would recommend this property to anyone. Great location for OSU parents.

Enjoyed our stay .after shopping with our twin granddaughters we were both beat ,and it was nice to have a comfortable room to come home to.Free internet was a big plus.Housekeepers were very helpful. Breakfast was good ,but dining room was crowded.
A full time restaraunt would be great.

The room was very noisy and both tread mills were broken. Breakfast wasn't that great either. I visit Columbus once a month and I would not recommend this property.

I was very impressed with this hotel it was very clean and nice with all updated equipment. The staff was excellent and friendly. If I have to go back to columbus to stay for anything this would be the place that I would definately stay.

We chose the Holiday Inn Express near OSU because of location. We were pleasantly suprised how nice it was. From the minute we walked into the lobby we were greeted by a really nice front desk lady. Checkin was fast and the priority club perks were nice. The room was nice and the pool was enjoyable. The pool had lots of people, and was low on towels but understandably so. Towels arrived shortly after we did. Breakfast was enjoyable. We would stay again in the future.

Rooms were nice and clean. The free breakfast was ok. The pancakes were really good. The only thing I did't like was the plumbing problems my room had. After running the shower for two minutes, I was standing in a deep puddle. That I didn't like at all... yucky!! Otherwise, I would stay here again. I must say that I ordered pizza from a nearby restaraunt that was yummy. I got the best side salad I ever had!!

We had a great room and a great experience, but only two things made it less than perfect.
First, we were quite disappointed in the fitness center. Of the two treadmills, one was out of order and the other one had a belt that slipped so badly, it was useless.
So much for my enthusiastic workout idea while out-of-town.
Second, as we were leaving, when the elevator door opened, a housekeeper darted in, practically knocking us over. Good thing we weren't holding a cup of hot coffee or there would have been third-degree burns. She wouldn't even apologize when we told her to watch out.
Shouldn't guests get the right-of-way?

I would recommend this Hotel to everyone...my brother had a brain operation and we came there from ndianapolis, I was surprised to hear that we got a discount for one of our family members being in the cancer hospital. Thanks SO much for that, I would stay there again for sure!

I actually booked this room for a friends whose father was airlifted to OSU hospital. Being concerned about their dad, they didn't think to set up a place to stay. Nathan was wonderful in helping me find a nice 2 bedroom suite, e-mailing me the forms, and working with me to set everything up even when we needed to extend the stay another day.
A couple days later my friends called to let me know what a blessing the room had been during a difficult time. Not only were the facilities very nice, but the staff was especially gracious and caring checking on everyone and make them feel a little less stressed. As a friend far away, having the ability to provide this small comfort made me feel good also.

Did not get room requested-upper floor, 2 beds. When checked in, I was given 1 King bed on middle floor. I told the girl that I was supposed to have 2 beds, and she said that was what I originally was in, but for some reason my room was given away. Young man also working front desk was particularly condescending and dismissive. Am coming back to Columbus in a week, and I have booked a different hotel. Will not be back to this HI Express.

This was our fourth stay at this hotel and are always pleased with the friendliness and accomodating service that we receive from the people at the front desk. At this last visit, we arrived much earlier than the normal check-in time and were very pleased when the pleasant check-in clerk graciously allowed us to unload our car and check in early, thus allowing us to spend more time on campus with our granddaughter. We're always happy with the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms and we sleep very well. The food is a great bonus and we find more than enough to give us a good start for the the day. We enjoy staying at this hotel.

I was a visitor in the Columbus OSU area as my daughter was an inpatient at the Ross Heart Center. I found the hotel very accomodating as far as my stay, The customer service that I received was wonderful and very supportive. The morning breakfast was a welcome start of my day and proved to be delicioius and varied. The trays were constantly replenished and food stayed hot. My room was fresh and clean and I was able to use the shuttle service since I was there without transportation., The drivers were very courteous, knowledable and were able to point out things of interest in the area. I will continue to use this hotel if and when the need once again arises.

This particular location tends to be loud, what with OSU sports fans, visiting high school team, etc. Still, the staff works hard to keep the place in tip-top shape. Too bad we didn't get any sleep till past 2 am, despite repeated visits from staff to neighbors.

This was the best experience I've had staying at a hotel of all the years I have traveled whether it was for personal or business. I was well attended and received by the hotel staff who are very accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and facilities are clean. My best stay thus far!

Arrived for a weekend volleyball tournament with my 15 year old daughter after booking a double bed room two weeks prior to the event. Room was very clean, but not what I had requested; the room was a king. As her father, I do not believe it is appropriate to be in the same bed as my teen daughter (perhaps that is just my personal hang up). After requesting another room with two beds, I was told that the accomodation could not be made by the shift manager, despite many people who had not checked in yet. I could, however, have a roll away bed.....for $15 a night. I asked to waive the fee and was told it was not possible. Other "great" things about this particular hotel - poor internet service as everytime I attempted to log on both nights, I constantly received a message "maximum number of users has been reached" (never seen that one before...ever) and on Saturday night, during a moderately heavy snow, the hotel had no available on site parking, telling me instead to park about a 1/4 mile to 1/2 mile down the street, on the street and I could walk back.
I did receive a nice "canned company" email from the general manager, much like the ones posted here in response to those who've had similar experiences as I have at this particular hotel. I was also told that room bookings are simply a request as to what you want, not necessarily what you'll get.

Decent Holiday Inn Express--cut some corners at this propery. Room not quite as nice as it should be. Missing shelves in bathroom..poor lighting in bathroom. Missing desk in room along with office chair.
Very poor parking in front of property. Poorly lit parking in back along with questions about security of your vehicle. I parked under the canopy at front door one night to avoid this concern.
Nice lobby area. Nice breakfast area, Property was clean and staff at front were all good. Room was clean.
Owner(s) must really stay on top of this property to maintain this level as it is real close to campus/football/basketball. I imagine it takes a beating on game weekends....

I arrived a day earlier than my existing reservation and Visaka at the front desk was very helpful with finding me the best rate for the additional night and as a Platinum Member she managed to upgrade my room to a very comfortable suite. Thank you!
Breakfast was perfect and the beds very comfortable. The hotel is well lit at night and there was ample parking.
I would definitely stay here again.

My previous experience with Holiday Inn chain has been always nice, but things changed due to the stay last weekend at this hotel. The staff at the front desk and the whatever manage were both very rude on the phone. We booked eight rooms in total but they wouldn't allow us to cancel one of them right after we booked the rooms due to their horrible cancellation policy. What was worse is that we changed one of the room type two days before we came from a double-bed room to a king-bed room. They still charged me the money for the cancelled double-bed room even though we stayed at the other king-bed room. How stupid is this?! When you tried to explain everything to them, what they could do is just being rude. All of my friends are very disappointed by this stay. I guess I will definitely not recommend Holiday Inn chain to anybody in the future and will suggest them try staying away from them as much as they can.

We stayed at this property while our son was a patient at Riverside Methodist Hospital. The property is a convenient location to the hospital.
The room was pleasant, clean and comfortable. Since we were spending the majority of our time at the hospital we just wanted a clean "decent" room and it definitely fit the bill.
The property does get a MAJOR ding for its breakfast offering. We arrived 15 minutes after the posted start time and the staff deffinitely did not have it ready to open. Silverware was not out, juice cups were not available, hot items (scrambled eggs, etc.) were not on the warming trays, and coffee urns needed filled.
Am not certain what caused the fiasco, but the staff was aware of it and one manager and three employees were giving their all to make it right. Unfortunately, when one is on a tight schedule it is difficult to over look such a blunder, especially when the staff's effort was lacking at best.

This was our second visit because of family in nearby hospitals.
The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The beds and rooms are comfortable. We would stay again if we are in the area.
