Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good place, poor service. Woman at the front desk seemed very irritated to have been working both days of my stay. There were several instances where I stood at the front desk for just listening to their conversations from the back room until someone decided to walk out. I was told my room would be ready at 12:30pm. I did not arrive in my room until 2:30 and was staying alone. While I was getting into the shower, I vaguely heard a knock. Before I could get a towel around myself, I heard housekeeping trying to open my room door with their key. I rushed to the door and held the locks shut while yelling that I was still inside needing privacy. She left without any explanation. I realized later that this was because I had only been provided with hand towels. I went the next morning to request my towels. The same surly woman at the desk was either half asleep or so angry that she couldn't make eye contact. After questioning me about why I needed towels, a housekeeper silently brought me two. I asked if I'd be charged extra and got no response. Place was great, but there's got to be a reason that their staff hates their jobs. I felt bad for inconveniencing the staff with my presence. I stayed at another hotel the night before, and the accommodations there were terrible, but at least the staff was courteous. As a young person traveling alone, feeling welcome where I sleep is extremely important. November 6, 2014
