Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff, great breakfast choices and service This was a very nice, comfortable and family friendly hotel. I was there with my daughter and three of my grandchildren. They have a fantastic pool with lots of extras for the kids and the adults. The included breakfast had a lot of choices and the quality of the food was very good. July 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel wonderful staff all around.... The hotel was very nice and the staff was very nice as well but...... I called a head of time letting the front desk staff know that we are attending a wedding Saturday at 4:00. The wedding party booked several rooms ahead of time for the guests. When arriving at 3:00 they said that our room wasn't ready. My thoughts are if you know you have guests arriving for a wedding I would probably have my cleaning grew clean those rooms first so that if anyone arrives early to be on time..... for the wedding they would be ready. For years I have come to Columbus for business and always stayed at Candlewood Suites, but the hotel was booked for a little one night trip with the family to the Columbus Zoo and decided to try Holiday Inn Express for a change. WOW!! I never know this hotel was so beautiful and modern! My wife was extremely impressed and my hotel hating 4 year old daughter loved it! The room was clean and extremely pleasant to the eye! The bathroom was modern and clean as well. My daughter loved the pool and spent most of the night there. Beds and pillows were comfortable, and the hotel itself was quiet and clean as well. The only draw back was we were in a room with 2 queen beds and requested to be put on a wait list for the king suite. But the hotel was booked and we stayed where we were. Still, it was a great night and slept wonderfully ready for the next days events at the zoo. Definitely returning to this hotel in the future! July 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Attractive rooms The room were attractive. The beds were very comfortable. Had a problem with the first room key would not open door maintenance key would not open it. They worked on the door for a bit then changed our room up. The second room had a smell to it. I believe it was because the carpet under the air conditioner was wet. Reported it. Also had a problem with overcharge of room contacted them. And it was taken care of. The person I emailed was very good and took care of the situation BD from Canada July 28, 2015
