Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superior service, great value Even though we booked a room at half price with Rewards Points, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly, helpful, and professional front desk staff as if we were paying full price for our stay. We were recognized as Gold Elite IHG Rewards Club Members and received our Welcome Bonus Points soon after check-in. Our room was quiet, spacious, and spotlessly clean. We slept soundly on comfortable queen beds fitted with quality sheets and pillows. The bathroom was well stocked with fluffy towels. The free Internet service was fast and reliable. Breakfast included plenty of hot and cold choices, served in a spacious dining area. When we got home, we received a handwritten note thanking us for our stay. Talk about customer service! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not recommend. When I travel I always stay at Holiday Inn Express Hotels, I have stayed at 10 or more in the last 5 months. Every-time I check in I am offered a welcome package or 500 bonus points, at this location I was offered neither. The beds are very old and uncomfortable, plus the pillow are very old and flat. The breakfast was good and the breakfast attendant was very nice and helpful. I forgot my pillow and called the same day to ask if they could hold it because I was coming back through in 5 days and they said they never found it in my room. This was a gel top cooling pillow that cost around $50 and it just disappeared in less than 10 hrs of checking out . I stopped back by on my way back just to check and see if they found anything and there was an elder gentleman at the counter who said the same thing happened to him. Needless to say m pillow is forever lost. I will never stay here again. July 7, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by staff The desk clerk wasn't exactly an accommodating type. When we asked if the Rewards Points were applied to our stay, she replied that "we don't automatically do that". We've stayed about 9 times at this same Holiday Express #as well as two others that we regularly stay at# and have always been well taken care of. She then changed it to "The manager that entered the information didn't have time to do it" in a rather snarky tone. She didn't offer the customary complimentary water or snack as we've been given each of the other times we've stayed there. This same desk clerk was on duty in the morning as well. She was a little behind in getting the breakfast set up, so several guests were waiting for their breakfast. #eggs, pancake machine, syrup, etc#. Your business is hospitality and this individual simply....wasn't hospitable. There are many hotel chains along our travel routes and we purposely seek out Holiday Inn Expresses as they are usually a consistent value. Yours was the highest priced of the three we stayed at this trip #by a considerable amount#. July 1, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Recommend with Reservations Checked in Sunday 3/9/14. Desk staff pleasant. This HIE does not make cookies, disappointed but not a deal breaker. Monday morning was another matter, starting at around 9:30 till after 12:00 the house keepers slammed doors pretty much non stop. They flipped the door hinge so the door was ajar and in and out of the rooms slamming the doors against the door hinge, not only was this loud but the walls actually vibrated. I was warned by a co-worker about this but did not realize to what extent Tuesday was much better they only slammed the doors approximately a dozen times, I assumed the decrease was due to the fact there were less guests in the hotel. Wednesday was only a couple of times either less rooms to clean or different staff or perhaps a customer complained. Thursday very quite, I actually thanked the housekeeper for not slamming the doors. I was working till almost midnight and I would have liked to have slept in the morning. I was also surprised they do not lock the front door after 11pm, I asked about this but was told they get lot of walk ins. Every night when I got in no one was at the desk (they were in the back) I waited till they came to the desk so I could leave the car keys, but I could have gone to the elevator and never have been seen. After finding this out I did not feel as safe as I normally do. At night (after midnight) when going to the ice machine or back down stairs for coffee I found myself looking behind me and wondering if someone was in the stairway. I have only written one other poor review about a stay at a HIE and that was all related to desk staff and the hotel itself. March 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tom Great place but just a little high priced. Availability is the term used for the higher priced rooms. Prices go up a lot with a shortage of rooms. When gas companies do that, we call it gouging. Hotels do the same thing. Holiday Inn Express did that to us and other costumers the night we stayed with them. March 14, 2014
