In addition, the cleanliness was fantastic. Finally, I find the breakfast choices and available amounts more in this hotel than any other HI express. I will continue to stay at this hotel while in the Conroe area. June 18, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor customer satisfaction I was given an upgrade when checking in and when getting to the room found it not very inviting. It was at the front of the hotel and the canopy over the front entry completely blocked the window so there was no view of outdoors. There was a bathtub in the bedroom part of the suite and that did not make for a comfortable feeling. There was no table or desk to set up my laptop and do any work and there was no coffee table in front of the couch. The showerhead needed cleaning as it sprayed water every direction and when getting out of the shower the floor was flooded. The breakfast buffet was horrible. The trays of food were empty and it took nearly 10 minutes after finding the cook to get them refilled. One morning there was no hot water for my wife's tea. May 20, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice overall but we had problems Hotel is clean and rooms are nice. Pool area is very pretty. Our only issue is that we booked 5 rooms for a wedding party and had requested all of them to have 2 queen beds. We tried to check in early (at noon) and were not allowed to. When we were able to check in at 4, 3 of the rooms had king beds and we were told there were no other rooms available. We had to get roll aways for guests to sleep on which were not very comfortable and made me very unhappy since I was the host. April 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great bank for your buck! I recently stayed three nights at Holiday Inn ISelect in Conroe. I thought the room was extremely nice, clean and and comfortable. Most times when I enter a hotel room, the first thing I do is plug in an air-freshner because in many instances there is a stale smell. However, that was not the case when I opened the door of my room. It was nice, fresh and inviting. Growing up, my parents would always stay at Holiday Inns during our family vacation. Throughout the years, I've stayed in a variety of places. But now since the helpful staff signed me up to become a "rewards member" our family legacy will continue. I can't wait for the opportunity to stay again! April 11, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by As always, an enjoyable stay My wife and I make Holiday Inn Express our home away from home. We thoroughly enjoy this hotel chain, with one exception. Holiday Inn Express seriously needs to improve wi-fi reception for ipad/netbook devices. Access is nearly impossible for rooms near the end of the hall and especially for rooms on upper level floors. The problem wasn't a major problem in the past when using a notebook pc, but is with both older and newer model ipads. April 11, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by smoking room As a Gold Member I was appaled to finf myself in a smoking room, my clothes ,suitcaes etc etc stunk of smoke and woke up having atrouble to breath..staff was helpful enough although they said they could not change my room but said i booked it via Google ,,Not sure what this meant as I booked it on the holiday inn website!! hotel was nice enough and room and intenet and comfortable but have not been in smoking rooms since 90,s!! My husband and I rented the king bed suite for New Year's eve, even though we are smokers, we never rent smoking rooms at other hotels because of the odor, but because it was a cold rainy night, we decided to go ahead and rent one. First thing I noticed when we arrived to our room, that there was NO smoke odor at all! Room and linens smelt very fresh. Price was great, and rooms were very nice. The lady at the front desk was not very welcoming or friendly, and could probably use some extensive customer service training, but other than that, we were both very pleased. January 6, 2013

The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, grocery stores and a WalMart. Also, it's right off the interstate so it's easy to find and leave (even with all the road construction going on). The room was very nice and clean, but the bed was incredibly soft, and my husband is 230 lbs., so he was very uncomfortable. He pulled the mattress off the sofa bed and slept on the floor. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Internet service The internet service was horrible. I heard two other customers say the same thing. I spoke with their technical assistance staff but they were unable to help because this hotel does not pay for fast enough service to deal with the amount of customers they have. I complained to the front desk staff about my a/c not working and was told she could not move me because they were full which wasn't true. She also told me she would try to get someone to come check on it but couldn't promise anything. She was very hateful and I was rude in return. I hung up on her and she tried to call me back. I did not answer and she put a note under my door that said I was the rude one not her and that she had it on video camera with a recorder. I considered her not to be quite an intrusion. I was told I would get extra Priority points for the poor internet service (I literally could not connect even with the cable). and that did not happen. I asked to speak to the manager the next morning about the incident but she was not there. I was given her card but didn't bother to call back. October 23, 2012

Your front desk staff was most accommodating in letting us check in early one Saturday morning, and letting us watch the game in the breakfast room after we checked out another Saturday morning. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SHSU parent We went to the SHSU campus for parent weekend, and the Holiday inn in Huntsville was full, so we drove a little further south to Conroe and stayed at that Holiday inn. It was less expensive, rooms were nice and they were clean, breakfast was good in the morning. The only down side was the pool area, we were disappointed that there was no hot tub. We would stay there again for one night. October 17, 2012
