The hotel/room are nicely appointed, spotlessly clean, and pleasant staff. However, the handicap facilities in the room are lacking. This appears to be a hotel that was remodeled. The room had a tub with one grab rail. It was difficult to maneuver getting out. In addition, the toilet was not raised. Again a difficulty for a handicap person. A call to the desk did not remedy the situation by getting our room changed.

Comfortable beds and pillows are elusive with many hotel chains. Not HIE. I sleep well when visiting and feel rested, relaxed, and prepared for my meetings.

Upon arriving at the 3:00p.m. checkin our room was not ready. We were not recognized as Gold Club members and we were not offered a snack bag or points instead. Wecalled the front desk for a 5:00a.m. wakeup call. The call never came and we were late for our engagement the next day. We definitely will not be staying here again. There standards are certainly not that of other Holidays. The lack of concern over our issues was lacking to say the least.

This hotel was clean and nice and in a great location for our stay. However, I had a reservation for a room with 2 queen beds. When I arrived to check in I was told that the hotel was full and all they had available was a room with 1 king bed. No offer to reduce my rate, no heads up that my room had been given away, and no explanation as to how or why this happened when I had reserved a room with 2 beds.
Our party included 4 people and 1 child. We were told we could use the pull out sofa. It was smaller than a double bed and not clean. Beds were very uncomfortable not to mention the extremely thin matress on the pull out sofa that left our guest with very little sleep as well.
