We arrived an hour past check in time, and the desk was empty for 15 minutes before someone finally showed up, and then said our room was not ready, and would not be for another 45 minutes. We finally were given a room, very small, and it seemed very hurriedly put together. I was not satisfied with this experience, and we will never use the business again. There is no excuse for such inept service, other than indifference or lack of hiring enough help. Exercise room was full of nonfunctioning equipment, not even the scales worked! Pool was cold, and the general experience sucked. Glad we spent only one night there!

Everything is excellent with this establishment except the wireless internet connection. It's lousy.
It constantly drops the signal and the signal strength is rarely above "good". I thought it might be my computer but when I returned home(after a lengthy absence) and hooked up to my home wireless router it worked perfectly with an "excellent" signal with no dropped signal.
I really depend on the internet for my business.
The internet problem was the only reason I lowered your rating to "average" under the "overall experience" and the "able to relax" categories.

Staff was very friendly. I was in room 129 , which was a very large nice room.. Our friends were in room 204. The housekeeping cleaned my room but took the tip for room 204 and did not clean it. When my friends called down, to complain, the housekeeping came to clean my room again.Then they called from the front desk to ask if our room was cleaned yet. A little confusing. When they did clean room 204 they did not shut the door. It was open about 3 inches when they returned. They were very upset.
The matresses are very dated for a Holiday Inn Express. The pillows are old too. The bottom sheet on my bed was put on inside out and was ripped at the seams.
The breakfast was very nice and the front desk staff were very helpful. The location is great. Walmart is right next store and so are a lot of restaurants.

The hotel was run down looking. It could use a face lift. The breakfast was great! There was some sort of fruit tree just outside the entrance that dropped cherries onto our car that didn't come off with an automatic car wash. YUCK! We had to scrub and scrub to get them off the car. This left us with a bad impression of our stay. swieneke

This is an old hotel that obviously started its life as a different brand, maybe twenty years ago. Only the breakfast resembled a Holiday Inn Express. The beds were not comfortable, the tub looked dirty, and the wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom. No upholstered chair or sofa in my room with two doubles, only a big-man-size desk chair that was totally too large for me. (I never had a problem with a desk chair in any other hotel.) The weirdest thing was the metal mailbox on a wheeled cart with plastic flowers across the hall from my room. It gave the distinct impression that I was staying in a nursing home. If I hadn't been exhausted when I arrived, I would have checked out. I stayed at a different Holiday Inn Express the previous night, so comparisons were quite fresh in my memory. Do not stay here.

While our experience was okay, it was evident that this hotel had been there for awhile. Everything was clean, but the property looked somewhat old. We've had more choices at breakfasts at other Holiday Inn Expresses. The strange location of the elevator was not good. Also, the front doors should open automatically since many of the guests come with items other than suitcases. The front desk was helpful, and checking in was easy.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was very nice and tasteful. Some confusion on charges. Carpets need either updating or a good clean.

My wife and I were traveling to Missouri and decided to stay at Corydon for the night. Upon arrival at the hotel, the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We were even selected the "guest of the day", and let us bottled water and a made up "rolling mail box" in front of our door with a welcome note. Thank You for all your attention. PJO.
