We actually live in Covington where this hotel is located and were burned out of our house by a fire, so it was odd checking in "down the street." But the owner and his staff went out of there way to make us comfortable, welcome, even going above and beyond. The office facilities proved useful. Nice little gym and a great indoor pool. Tummy warming morning breakfast, very bountiful. And a breathtaking view of the Blueridge. You are just minutes away from the Blueridge mountains, where all the beauties of nature await you. Come autumn this is the most beautiful place on earth. All in all, A+++. We plan to sneak away there again in the Jacuzzi room just for fun, once this is all behind us. Great job guys!

I use the hotels throughout the week for work purposes and in the last month I have booked 2 rooms for around 8 nights in one case 3 rooms on a Friday. I have found that Holiday Inn in general are expensive in most areas. This particular hotel did not budge at all to speak of on the pricing and even though I was staying for more than one night, with it being the only decent hotel in the area I had no other choice but to take it. The hotel is very nice and clean and attracting but too expensive.

The shower curtain had dirt on it.
Light in the bathroom didn't work.
Coffee Maker needed cleaned.
Refrigerator had something sticky spilled in the bottom.
Microwave had food stuck on the side - inside.
My wife talked to the housekeeper and she said she had two full floors of rooms to clean by herself. The hotel was full the previous night.
So if she spend more than 12 minutes in a room something was going to get missed.

Stayed in two adjourning rooms as a 10th birthday party for my daughter with 5 of her friends. Called ahead to confirm indoor pool was in use to make it a PJ/Pool party. Staff were friendly and receptive. Without asking, front desk saw me leave to pick up cake and when I arrived tables in the breakfast room were already moved together to accomodate our group. Very touched. Girls had a great time at the pool which didnt close till 10 at night. Fun was had by all, and I was able to fill the girls with breakfast with a great variety before the parents picked them up. I recommend this HI-Ex to everyone.

It was a relaxing overnight stay. We were just passing through from Indiana to Virginia. When traveling try to stay at a Holiday Inn Express. We are familiar with Holiday Inn Express and they all seem to have the same amenities and comfort.
This has been the most pricey Holiday Inn Express I have stayed in.

We have stayed at this Holiday Inn several times as we have immediate family in the area and visit as often as we can. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful and the hotel clean. Good variety at breakfast. This past visit the bed seemed a little hard but overall, we enjoy our stays there. We have reservations for March and April already.

we stayed here a few times because we have a meeting about every three months there, but each time we tell ourselves no more. the last time we stayed was the worst. we will drive the 27 miles to stay elsewhere. nothing good we can say about this place.
