We had a mixup in the reservations (our fault) and the receptionist at the desk was very helpful and kind solving our delima. Everyone on the staff was polite and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and the 24 hour coffee service was great. I will always stay at the Holiday Inn Express when I visit Covington and I will look to stay at a Holiday Inn Express when I visit other areas. My experience in Covington has made me a Holiday Inn Express customer.

I always enjoy staying at this property in Covington and stay there when working in the area. I especially appreciate Mitch and the lady who makes breakfast. I get up early and they always have fresh coffee brewed and waiting for me. Mitch personifies service excellence. I don't know how, after being up all night, he can be so nice and helpful to guests.

We had the fully accessible handicapped room with the walk-in shower. It was a nice room and my mom, who is handicapped, said it was very easy for her to move around both in the room and bathroom. Four of us stayed in the room and there was plenty of space. The staff was very pleasant and accommodated our needs.
We were always greeted as we entered the building and as we left the building. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend others to stay as well.

The overall experience at the hotel was nice, however we were celebrating a family reunion, and had guest at all three hotels, surrounding this one, the manager at Quality Inn was throwing paid guests out of the pool across the street, ( relatives) we had proof that the guest he was throwing out had rooms, he became very explosive, started yelling and screaming at me while I had very little kids, he then proceeded to follow us back over to the hilton and demanded the customer service give him, our room numbers, she was upset because it came down to her needing her job, you should never place your employee in that type of environement he was racial profiling the guests as he did the same thing with another family reunion on 07/04/2013, which family members happen to be related to our family. This is really upseting because there wasnt a need for it, everyone was respectful, and enjoying their stay.
This is my mothers hometown, we have a large amount of relatives that live in this little town, whoever I will just stay in millington or Memphis as we were told the so called manager of the Quality Inn was the actual owner of all three hotels. If he wants to racial profile, then he doesnt need my money or better yet anyone that I know money. I have reported him to the State Attorney General office as well as most of the guest from the 07/04/2013 family reunion. If Holiday Inn associates with people like that, then maybe this isnt the hotel chain for me, however the staff was great the hotel was nice, ignorant people like him, just made it really unbearable, when everyone was having such a good time, noone was being loud, everyone was getting along. Its really sad that 2013 we still have issues like these. Ps This wasnt a black or white incident, the guy was from India or Pakistan.

I really can't say enough about the staff and the manager (Karen) who was on duty the day we checked in. Our reservations were all mixed up. We had gone through a third party for reservations). The manager spent over two hours getting our reservations corrected. Three of us had gone to Covington for a funeral and reserved 2 queen rooms for several days. When we needed to stay an extra day we reserved a suite for the three of us and because we had so much trouble with our reservations she kindly put us up in 2 suites the entire time at the same rate as the queen rooms. So if you need a hotel room in Covington consider the Holiday Inn Express , but go directly through the Hotel and not a third party.

We have been staying at this location when are in the area for several years and have not been disappointed at any time. We highly recommend this location.
