Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Power Outage Power went out for about 45 minutes. We were on the 3rd when this occured, so we went out in to the hallway. The emergency lighting was not working the exit signs to stairs was out and the stairs were dark. Good thing it was a fire and it could have been a real panic . This hotel is not that old and that was a real eye opener for the Simon Family!!!! March 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Newer places like this are ussually on the Interstate A newer property. It’s nice throughout. Staff very friendly. They have all the amenities that you would expect at a HIE. Room was very clean and the linens fresh. The breakfast bar looked good and fresh. It has all the bath amenities plus bath gel which isn’t found at all HIE. The towels were a bit rough. I think they have hard water. The shower fixture had a bit of calcium build up so I am sure that’s the reason. Maybe they need a better softener. I stayed at the property on the way to the Drake Oil Well. A world class museum in Tutsville about 40 minutes north. If you have even the slightest interest in the oil history of the area. You shouldn’t miss it. February 28, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Elephants The hotel was barely occupied yet they stuck everyone in the same general area so all night the room above us sounded like elephants were having a party and the room next to us the elephants were banging on the walls. The hotel should spread out the occupants when it is barely being used so everyone gets a peaceful night sleep. January 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice quiet hotel but pricey We had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean. Since it was during the holidays, there weren't many people in the hotel, so it was very quiet. The only negative comments I have are: 1) We had 4 guests in our room, but housekeeping kept leaving 3 sets of towels - a problem that was fixed after the second night and 2) It is a very expensive hotel - especially for the area it is in. One suggestion I would have is to provide Clark's Donuts for one of the breakfast selections. They are located less than 1/2 mile away and have WONDERFUL donuts. January 7, 2013
