Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not a Pleasant stay The young lady at checking was not very friendly. I don't believe I was giving the best rate. I got a king size room and it was very sparsely furnished. The pillows were old and tired. The breakfast was did not have a good variety. My vehicle was tampered with in the lot over night. I will not stay there again. April 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Family Trip I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past 2 years on the way to Disney World with the family. Stayed at it the 2nd time because of the great experience we had our first stay. I would still recommend this hotel and I will stay here again in the future but wanted to bring an issue to mgmt's attention. Check-in was flawless even though it seemed the person at the front desk was quite busy. Once in the room, we noted that we were short towels in the bathroom. I called House Keeping but no answer (and no message telling me if anyone was working or to leave a message - phone kept ringing). I hung up and called the front desk, spoke to the young lady working and asked for a couple of towels. I was told I need to come down to the front desk and get them myself because they were the only person there. I guess not a big deal I had to get them myself but more at issue with the fact it was early Saturday evening, first weekend of spring break and there was only one person working. I went down to the front desk and it was extremely busy. I waited about a 1/2 hour behind one large family checking into 3 rooms for just 2 more towels. To be clear, this isn't anything against the person behind the front desk. She was very professional and worked quickly to check people in and get to the next customer waiting for help. This is more a statement for the mgmt team to not schedule enough workers to handle a busy Saturday night. (maybe foresight was needed to plan for a busy spring break weekend) March 16, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Accommodations 1) Front desk receptionist was extremely accommodating and let us get into our room before the appointed time and chose a room across from my sister, which was very nice. 2) The room was clean AND quiet. 3) The hours for breakfast were very accommodating. Plus the breakfast varieties were very good. There was even food/drink available when we left on Sunday morning at 6AM before they opened officially. 4) Coming from out of state, the location was easily accessible to my niece's home and anything else. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent handicapped accommodations Although we always make advance reservations for the physically handicapped as my wife is an amputee with only one leg, it is not uncommon for us to be disappointed on arrival due to the room size being inadequate, too little space for maneuvering her power wheelchair, and most critically insufficient bathing accommodations. Therefore, we we delightfully pleased with the Crestview HIE property. The clerk on duty was a marvelously pleasant and competent young lady and, as a platinum rewards club member, I suggest the assigned room should be the prototype for accommodations for all physically disabled hotel guests. We were so pleased I have already made a reservation at the property for our return trip in a few days. December 22, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and Quiet The hotel was very clean and quiet. I did not rate may stay as excellent because of two minor weaknesses. First, the fitness room had no free weights or an exercise weights station. The second weakness was the lack of HD channels on the TV. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay, Good Price While not on the coast, this Florida panhandle location is close enough for the budget-minded. Easy to find, right off the highway. All-in-all, we were very pleased with the room, the beds, the provided coffee, microwave and frig with throwaway plates, bowls and utensils, the complimentary breakfast, and the price. We were traveling with my invalid father, and needed the larger suite for all our comfort. It was large enough, even if there are not two full rooms, just a seating area that adjoins. A nice, comfortable stay, and I would book again. Oh, and the pool and hot tub were nice after a long drive (do wish pools would stay open past 10PM - even 10:30 would be nice). November 20, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Unsatisfactory Breakfast/Checkout We stayed 2 nites at this facility, 10/11 & 10/18. On 10/11 we spent the nite on our way to the Holiday Inn Resort, Orange Lake FL. Always look forward to the breakfast at H/I Express....not this time. There was very little variety in the hot breakfast. The "omelet" left a lot to be desired....it was very dry and had little filling and no cheese. There was no breakfast meat of any kind. There were several guests complaining about the variety as well. We were there even before they made coffee around 6:00 am. on 10/18 (19), when we went to breakfast around 7:00, the biscuit was very hard on top and the bacon had been very lightly cooked. Again, the omelet was dry w/little filling/no cheese. I had to ask for half & half for my coffee, the lady went to the refrigerator, got the half & half, and poured into my cup, returning it to the refrigerator. When I went to check out between 8:00 or so, I paid cash, however, they had already charged the room to my credit card. I was previously told, they did not charge the card until after you checked out. It appeared on my card for 2 days before it was removed. I always stay at H/I in my travels with no problems. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Tub Wife and I stayed in room 215 which was a King Jacuzzi Suite. The room was very clean and comfortable - Jacuzzi was very nice. Wired internet was easy and fast (18M upload and download). Front desk associate was very cordial during check-in. Breakfast was good as expected. Good business center. Wi-Fi internet signal in room 215 is unusable at the bed and desk - would only work just inside the door. September 25, 2013

Well located in a strategic position for shops, restaurant, and a base to to reach long white beaches on a fantastic sea (well, actually some miles far). Rooms very good, comfortable and spacious, clean bathroom. Staff very friendly and recognized me as a Platinum. Breakfast very good. My compliments to the Staff, especially to Krystal. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quick Over night stay Stayed over night on the way to Tampa to see my Parents. The staff was very accommodating since we did not have a reservation and even with our Priority Card our King bed room was still over priced because we were a walk in. I fell with the priority club membership and AARP discount it would have been more reasonable for just one night but the rooms were very clean and comfortable so we did not complain. I did enjoy and was honored to see so many of our servicemen and women staying in such a nice hotel and I am hoping that Holiday Inn has special pricing for them. I know that Eglin AFB is not far away as my Brother-in-law was stationed there for many years. We did not have time to enjoy any of the amenities but the room for a delight. Would recommend this hotel but also recommend getting a better rate with a reservation. We could not so that do to the fact we were driving and did not know where we would be stopping for the night.. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sleepless Night I was so disappointed in this property! The only room they had left was the King room with the heart-shaped jacuzzi, which was significantly more than I had planned to pay. However, I decided to splurge, expecting a great night's sleep. Nothing could have been further from the truth. There was a 1 inch gap at the bottom of the door, which allowed every sound from the hallway to come into my room. There were other guests who were slamming their door all night long. I called the front desk, who suggested that I put a towel at the bottom of the door. She promised to be up shortly to check on it, but never arrived. Will never stay here again, and am questioning whether or not I'll ever stay at a Holiday Inn Express given the lack of responsiveness to the issue. So much for their Hospitality guarantee.
