Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Very nice, new hotel Hotel looks brand new and is very nice and clean. Bathroom and bed were top notch. The included breakfast a nice touch, however some problems with it. The eggs were gross, the juice was warm and there was no ice provided. You have to dump your left over juice into a bucket on the counter that was disgusting! How about installing a sink with a working drain? It would've been nice to have ice water as an option or a soda machine for drinks as well. July 21, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mt Rushmore Experience Custer is a good location to use as a home base while visiting attractions in and around the area. Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood, Hill City train ride to Keystone and back, lots of interesting local shops and good food at local restaurants. I did feel like our hotel was overpriced for the value. However, I must be in the minority because it was at full capacity every night we were there. My biggest complaint was breakfast. It generally ran late to open with the hot food selections and there was never enough for the number of guests who were waiting. Instead of filling the containers to capacity with food there was usually enough to feed three to four. This practice caused the remaining guest to wait longer. The choices were good. The staff was friendly and hard working. They just couldn't keep up with the demand. July 21, 2014

The pool was inoperable but the accommodation was use of the pool at a neighboring hotel. However, the cost per night was significantly greater than other cities for the same type of room. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Property / Poor Room! We have stayed here once before in the upper level with the same suite style and it was PERFECT for our family of 5! Plus the price was reasonable! That is why we came back! This time we were on the lowest level by the exit door - same room style. The room style was still PERFECT (seperate King Bedroom - Queen bed & pull out couch in the living area) BUT the NOISE!! AWFUL!! We could HEAR EVERY time a person exited/entered the building, everytime people went up & down the stairs (right by our door), spoke in the hallway, and every jump the kids upstairs jumped. The upper unit also had a balcony. The lower Unit did not have a patio. There was no price difference. Bad News! Great Pool! Great Everything BUT the exact room #100. I would NEVER get a lower level room again! July 19, 2014
