I saw the reviews about parking and it is tight but I also know theres nothing the hotel management and staff can do about it but they handle it great! Pool very small and out of order part of the time. Late checkout was allowed only until 1, so wasn't really useful. Breakfast ok, but few healthy choices. April 1, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Old and dirty The carpet throughout was very dirty. Staff unable to set up closed caption for us. After 4 tries and 1 and a half hours, Andre finally got some instruction. It worked. Room poor design. We had the suite. The sitting area had it's TV removed. There was a couch but no other seating and a blank wall where other Holiday Inn Express suites have a second TV. Bathroom tile grout was cracked and pieces were coming out. March 25, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff and breakfast This property is located in an area I would not have chosen except for the fact we had a family member in a nearby hospital. It is too close to I-35E and very busy and noisy. Parking is limited and it is too close to a very busy convenience store. I did appreciate one of the employees, Michael, who gave us a medical discount and who helped us find a place to park. The room was satisfactory and the breakfast was outstanding. March 10, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Manager Handle Issue Immediately I always say....it is not the problem that is the problem but how you handle the problem that is the problem. GM April J. and staff helped turn a booking error into a blessing without any delay. What would have been an uncomfortable situation for my staff was fixed with a very common sense approach by the late night staff and then supported by the GM the next day. When we requested a shuttle to our convention it was a slight bit out of the norm for the service. The GM jumped into the shuttle vehicle and took us immediately to our venue. Had fun driving to the event with the GM and she was very nice. If you have stayed at HIE you know the drill for breakfast. So nothing new to report there but it was clean, hot and available. Check out and all of the other needs of the stay were taken care of. Thanks to GM April J. as her employees were all just as serving as she was. We will be back. February 8, 2014

The hotel and property was very nice and we anticipated a great stay there, but upon entering the room we had to wait for a worker to get out of the room as he was changing out a floor lamp. Then when we got settled there was not a light bulb in one lamp on the night stand (had to take one out of the desk lamp so we could use it), the back of the bathroom door didn't have a hook to hang anything on (it was broken), and there was not a clock on a night stand. We did finally set the clock on the microwave so we'd know what time it was during the night. We didn't call and complain and that's our fault, but I feel like the room needed some TLC. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Panhandlers The only thing that kept me from answering 'excellent' to a coupe of questions was the beggars who accosted us in the back parking lot of this hotel. I complained to the front desk and I guess the beggars relocated to the convenience store next door because I went over there later to buy some stuff and they hit me up again in front of the store. I complained to the clerk and he acknowledged there was a problem and said the police didn't really care enough to do anything about it. I am a big man and the beggars don't intimidate me but they could be a serious deterrent to some people staying at this hotel. January 17, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lots of problems I travel a great deal in my present role with my employer. I have advised our travel coordinator to not use this hotel again. As a frequent traveller I look for a few basic things to make my stay comfortable and this hotel did not meet those mimimal basic reguirements. - the thermostat in my room was not functioning and would not work on any setting. I noticed the control cover had already been removed from the under window heating/AC unit by the previous occupants. This tells me the thermostat was not working for some time. - the exercise room was 83 degrees and the thermostat in that room was not functioning either. The control cover was also removed from the under window heating/AC unit, once again indicating this was an ongoing issue. Additionally the "excercise room" consisted of only three pieces of poor equipment. This needs to be addressed as a matter of brand consistency. I travel a lot and I like to excercize and the differences in quality of the avaialble equipment at Holiday Inns and HI Express facilities is all over the map. - the first piece of equipment was an eleiptical machine with the entire control panel hanging by the wires off to the side. It was inoperable. - the exersise bike was very small and not stable and in need of repair. It was marginally functional. - the treadmill was not in good condition but appeared to be in working order. - The television in the exersice room was not funcitonal. The remote was missing but the manual buttons did not work either. - there were no towels in the exercise room and no water either. There were also no weights or weight machines. This hotel should not advertise that they have an exercise facility. What they have does not qualify. - the ice machine on the first floor was out of order - move the TV in the lobby as the front desk personnel are much more interested in what is on the TV (in this case an NBA game) than they are in servicing incoming patrons. Week before last when all flights from Atlanta to Dallas were canceled because of the storm in Dallas, the management canceled my reservation without penalty and rescheduled me for this past weekend. When I arrived I received a friendly greeting and my room was ready. The location is perfect for my needs and just down the street from that wonderful Texas burger place Whataburger. I asked and they didn't have anything to give. When I asked for information about the area...gas stations, local pharmacy, etc., the front desk didn't know anything about the area. When I asked if the shuttle could take me nearby, the desk staff member said it only took people to the airports or other hotels. December 12, 2013

It's near a subway and a liquor store with a gas station also in walking distance. If you make a right out of the parking lot and your first right again go about a mile down the road and there's donuts :-) The stay is wonderful and the place is brand new and smells New. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by not impressed We were given a non-smoking room near lobby. The room smelled like stale cigarette smoke, very strong! As priority club members I had to ask for complimentary bottles of water. No hand lotion available in room or at front desk. The mattress pad was very thin and coming off the mattress. Also we had flat standard size pillows on a king size bed. These items need to be replaced. Since we were only there for one night I didn't ask for another room. Also thought since we used points, I thought maybe this is the kind of room you receive. The may reason we stayed at this hotel was it's convenience to Love Field. That would be the only reason to recommend this hotel to someone else. October 22, 2013
