Booked room through online service 7 months before stay at reasonable rate for 2 nights. At check in hotel declined online services credit card twice and offered me the room at their rack rate which was substantially higher than the rate I had booked it at online. There was approximately 90,000 fans in town for sporting event so I had little choice but to accept the gouging. Upon check out I was told once they received the online services payment they would refund my that portion. Over 2 weeks later and I have yet to receive my credit for the amount paid to online service. Person checking in before me encountered the same problem. Seems really fishy to me. Was told at check out they "don't know why the payment from online travel company was declined that never happens."

I had a wonderful experience at the Holiday Inn Express - East Dallas/Fair Park. The staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and cared for. When the shuttle didn't make it out of the repair shop in time for my business meeting, Jaymes the Sales Director drove me there himself. When I commented that I would have liked to have had bananas available on the free breakfast buffet, they were there the next morning! Every staff member I spoke to was friendly, smiled a lot and asked me how my stay was. You could just tell that there was a friendly, "let's take care of our guests" working environment for all the staff. I will definitely pick this hotel again when I visit Dallas.

Good first impression. Fairly updated décor. Pillows were waaay overstuffed and unusable/gave us bad neckaches in the morning (had to run out to Walmart to buy some cheap regular pillows). Scratchy and non-absorbant towels. Overall it wasn't bad but for the price, I would have stayed in Downtown Dallas.

Ten ton Teas was using her room as a track above us. Little Jimmy was making his mom upset. She was yelling at him all night. Called down to the front desk and ask if they could call and settle them down, the guy that answered act like I ask him to kill someone.
Not sure if it was due to the State fair but not planning on staying at this hotel.

We have stayed at a number of Holiday Inn hotels, this was the worst. I booked a king bed and when we arrived and went to our room it had 2 queen beds. We went immediately back to the front desk and were told that was what we booked. WRONG! I NEVER Book 2 beds The person at the front desk was very unfriendly and not at all concerned that we weren't happy. I looked back online and found where it said I had changed my h reservation. WRONG! I had called earlier that day to let them know we would be late checking in, they were busy that weekend with the fair going on and I believe they gave our room to someone else since it was around 9 that night before we got there. We are loyal Club members and will continue to stay at Holiday Inns BUT never again that one!!

Advertised shuttle service was not available, so we had to call a taxi to go to the state fair! cost $20 each way!!
