Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by slept at this hotel this hotel was new appearing which was nice. slept right by a door that had access to the outside. the cushioning on the piston that softens the close needs to be adjusted since it slams every time it is opened. woke me up a few times... March 2, 2015

We have grown to expect a pleasant stay at HI Express facilities, and were certainly not disappointed. From Fair Park to Lake Ray Hubbard, this is the best locale on East RL Thornton. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff Went Over and Above We have been staying at this hotel once a week for several weeks now due to the proximity to Baylor Hospital. On this particular visit we noticed an issue with the television as we could not get multiple channels that we had watched the previous week. My husband, an avid Walking Dead fan, was obviously upset that he was not going to get to watch his favorite show. I immediately called Janice at the front desk and she had us reset the cable box and promised to get on the phone with Time Warner. Resetting the box didn't remedy the issue but Janice kept in touch with us while on the other line with Time Warner. They were unable to fix the issue until the following day but Janice offered to upgrade us to a suite just right down the hall. She personally brought up the new key and we enjoyed a larger room and the show. Janice was our hero and her exceptional customer service should be commended! February 20, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by room fine, service - not When we arrived the night front desk staff member(woman) wasn't welcoming, seemed short tempered & impatient & was rude to our children...not a good way to start a stay! At least she offered us amenity points for being IHG members. Our room didn't have complete bedding for the sofa sleeper(which has never happened to us before#. very Good points: clean spacious room, comfortable beds & pillows, guest washer/dryers were inexpensive to use, everything in our room worked. Bad points: other guests on same floor making a lot of noise ie#yelling# and it didn't appear that a staff member brought it to their attention as it went on for a while; maid on floor was too busy talking on her cell & watching TV in the room she was cleaning to hear me asking for things for our room so I had to just take them from her cart; we were told breakfast ended at 10 am but it was totally cleared out before 10; of the breakfast items we did have, the bagels weren't fresh, they were crumbly #1st time that's ever happened to us at a Holiday Inn). We're used to higher quality Holiday Inns so this was disappointing. February 12, 2015
