Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Better Options Nearby Were looking for an option for regular travel through the area. At first this appeared to be a good location, but not as our stay progressed. The floor of our room was not clean, a garbage truck emptied the dumpster in the middle of the night, the tv did not work and there was no remote if it had, the beds creaked when you moved, and there was no warm or hot water, just stone cold for part of the hotel. The staff was unable to address the issues (offered rewards points as remedy), the manager was not on site, and will not respond. April 21, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfortable bed and no hot water The beds are old. The mattress, if it is not going to be replaced, needs a thick mattress pad. On my day of check out, I had zero hot water. I was offered 3000 points. I said no, I wanted a nights stay credit. To date, I have not received confirmation of this happening. April 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home Away From Home After an unplanned extended stay at this location we can honestly say it was a great experience. The staff was courteous, professional and well trained. The Manager, Scott, and the Staff were able to help us with any questions or needs that came up. Amanda and Dan were usually at the desk and would always greet us with a terrific smile. Carmen, again a great smile, did a super job in managing the large variety of breakfast foods and kept the coffee fresh. It was a pleasure coming back each evening to find that Rosario, Ana and the rest of the housekeeping staff had refreshed our room, and the hotel, keeping it all neat and clean. It was especially nice to come in each evening to fresh baked cookies in the lobby! Good job everyone, thanks for the great experience. April 20, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Management A family emergency necessitated our multiple stays in multiple locations. Please, a special thanks to Rachel, the Holiday Inn Express, Poughkeepsie Hotel manager. Rachel's warmth and understanding of our need to stay close to the facility caring for our loved one relieved much of our stress. Unfortunately, later in the day, events negated our Poughkeepsie hotel planned stay. I will not forget your kindness, Rachel. Scott, our home base manager in Danbury, not only remembered our name but helped us with our subsequent need to stay at Fishkill Holiday Inn. Thank you all April 15, 2015
