Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wished I could have spent more time My girlfriend and I arrived late on Christmas day, the staff that was on was very nice and friendly. We ended up looking for room service but no food was available, but we were given the number to the take out restaurant down the street. The bed was comfy, neighbors quiet. The bathroom was neat and clean, soft towels and a great hot shower after a long day.. We had to get up early for prior commitments but would have enjoyed staying longer. Look forward to returning there again soon. December 30, 2014

I visited this hotel Thanksgiving weekend to look at for my friends that were traveling up to Danbury to spend what will probably be their last visit for Christmas with family due to declining health. My friend has MS and can no longer walk, he needs a roll in shower. I was shown the one and only room that had a roll in shower. I asked if the room was booked and if I gave a credit card number right then could the room be held. I was told yes and gave my credit card number. I took pictures of the room and sent them to my friends. They were very excited about having a room big enough for him to maneuver his motorized scooter which allows him to get around. In addition there was a sleeper sofa which was desirable because his disease causes him to sleep poorly because of spams and would allow he and his wife to have separate places to sleep if necessary. My friends called the hotel and confirmed their reservation for the week of December 21st thru December 28th and were told they were guaranteed that room. We both received e-mails confirming the room with the roll in shower was reserved for them. After traveling 14 hours in the car, which really beats the heck out of someone with MS, they were at least looking forward to their roomy accomodations . When they arrived at the hotel at 9:00 pm they were told that their room was given to another man who needed a handicap accessible room and my friends were put in a smaller room with no pull out sofa, no refridgerator, no microwave and most importantly no roll in shower! The employee that allowed this to happen should be fired. After staying there that one night and the staff not correcting the problem by explaining to the other family that they had made a mistake and that room had been reserved and move the other family to another room our friends spent the whole day scrambling to find another hotel with a roll in shower instead of spending this time with their family. I will never recommend this hotel again, especially to anyone who is handicapped, I am very upset that the staff did not do their job properly. Hence the poor score for "The Staff" and "Able to relax" December 27, 2014
