I haven't found much about Danbury to love - the city is lacking in culinary variety and diverse local shopping. No gastro pubs, nothing James Beard-worthy... the town seems to center around a shopping mall which is as unique as every other shopping mall in America. However, the hotel was a lovely place to sleep, however - offering a quiet oasis in an otherwise uninteresting town. We normally stay in the small towns around the Hudson Valley - so this visit actually opened up Connecticut to us as an area for exploration. The hotel was conveniently off of the highway so we could hop on the road and explore the rest of what the region could offer. We put many miles on the rental exploring Brewster, South Norwalk and New Haven. The room was clean, the beds without mysterious stains or burns (you wouldn't believe how often I find this an issue) and the mattresses are extremely comfortable. An excellent place to sleep if you're stuck in Danbury.

Easy access off highway, continental breakfast was perfect for a quick in and out overnight stay. rooms were in excellent condition. hotel reception friendly and informative. felt save in an area I knew nothing about. would definitely stay again when passing by the area.

We had a great stay as the room was clean and comfortable. This was the second Holiday Inn Express we stayed in that had the high top tables for breakfast. Love it!!! It makes the room more open.
As we were ready to leave I had some questions about the bill and the young lady at the front desk was so helpful and patient. It was a pleasure speaking to her and she appeared to really enjoy her job. That is very refreshing because some places we travel it certainly is not the case.
