My wife and I visit our family every year in Dandridge and stay here every year. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. It is an exceptionally well run/managed hotel. The rooms are always very clean, a nice variety of food at breakfast, the fruit fresh is updated dally. Simple things like fresh bananas without
bruises show the attention to detail that runs throughout the property! This continues to be our "go-to" hotel.

I was a little put off when I entered the Holiday Inn Dandridge because of the very strong aroma of a scented candle or spray. However since I was very tired after my flight from England and drive from North Carolina, I really needed a room.
The room was very nice and initially there were no problems. However during my shower the next morning I realized that there was a wash cloth hanging on the curtain rod. I did not remove it and left it there and when I closed the shower curtain it was not visible. Which led me to believe that the cleaning staff must not have moved the shower curtain after the previous guest.
I informed the staff on duty at the front desk about the problem. She initially didn't say much so I left to put my bags in my car. When I returned she told me that she was going to give me 1000 points on my rewards card. I didn't have a rewards card but my wife does (she's active duty Air Force) so I thought that's where she was going to put them. However afterwards I checked and realized she must have created an account and then gave me the points. Although at the time that is not what she indicated she was doing. Those 1000 points do nothing for me, I will probably never use them. I'm disappointed in the reaction of the staff about this incident. I would have appreciated a discount instead because now I feel as though my problem, although small, was pretty much disregarded. When we travel we usually try and look for a Holiday Inn Express to stay because we usually get good service and value. I'm hoping this is just an isolated incident.

We stopped here last Saturday night. B. W. is the rudest desk Clerk that we've ever dealt with at any hotel.
She had the audacity to say that we were lying when she had not quoted us a rate when we callled from the road an hour before check in. we arrived and she charged us 22% more than the internet rate. She was highly confrontational when I came back down to the desk to get sheets and pillows for the sofa bed, she insisted that they were in the room, they were not. She was the most unpleasant desk clerk anywhere.

The HI Express in Dandridge is one of our favorite hotels for short stays when traveling to visit family. Not only is it the half-way point for our travel, this HI Express hotel is just off the highway, but yet so very quiet. We truly appreciate the courteous and professional staff; rooms are comfortable and clean; and the breakfast choices meet every family members needs. We travel with 2 "furry kids" so we are very happy this hotel is pet friendly. We've had at least 8 stays and we've never been disappointed. Thank you HI Express - Dandridge.

This hotel is close to Smoky Mountains without all the traffic and at at goo value. Staff was very fiendly, helpful and polite. Rooms are very nice!!

Got there at 3:30 PM and room was not ready yet. Then when I came back at 5PM they ha given me another room without asking. Front desk lady was very nasty.

The hotel had a water leak but the staff was right on top of it. The water went off about 11:00 pm but was back on by 7:00 am Even with the problem the staff was great.

While furnishings are new and comfortable including the bed, chairs, tables and lamps, and the front desk attendant was quite friendly, everything else went downhill. Imagine entering your room to be greeted by a previous guest's towel hanging on the door, a flashing radio clock with the clock set for 6 hours earlier, and an unplugged bedside lamp that was impossible to plug in because the only receptacle was behind the king size bed which was immovable. The Internet was almost impossible to conduct any business of a sustained nature on. Beyond the room, there were large stains in the elevator's carpet, bare metal showing on painted surfaces at a back door and the door handle was very loose. There was only one icemaker inconvenient to those on second and third floors, the breakfast was mediocre, the TV in the breakfast room was blaring a politically-oriented cable network, and patrons were jammed into the tiny room in 30 heavy chairs and at 8 tables in a space that qualified for no more than two-thirds of those numbers. It seemed there must be no one checking on IHG properties in this area for this one surely qualifies as substandard by almost every other hotel we've been to. We won't be back.

I stayed 3 nights. I had moved from Texas with a rental truck full of furniture and belongings, plus hauling a car trailer. They had a place for my large truck and trailer to park. As I was getting my new home liveable for 3 days, the Holiday Inn Express was place of refuge and my home base. The staff were so very helpful and so very pleasant that I felt I convinced that my decision to move to this community in East Tennessee was a very good decision. They made me feel very welcome. Oh, and the room was in tip top shape, Applause. Applause. Applause.

I SPEND 320 NIGHTS A YEAR IN HOTELS BECAUSE OF MY JOB . I HAVE NEVER FELT SO WELCOMED AND AT HOME AS I WAS HERE.HATS OFF TO THE STAFF AND GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!!! I HOPE MY WORK BRINGS ME BACK THERE.THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT MADE MY STAY SO COMFORTBLE.

We decided to break up a 15 hour car drive into 2 days and selected this location to spend the night. The staff was extremely friendly and we were able to check in quickly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We did not hear any noises from others in the hotel. We woke the next morning, got ready and had breakfast. I think that one of the morning people did not show up and the front desk person was working the breakfast area. You would not have really know except that she was absent from the front desk but she never missed a beat. Breakfast items were hot and ready to go. I would definitely stay here again. No complaints.

The room was comfortable and nice. But beware if you are using the Internet to book your room!!!!!! I had made a reservation for two days to give use enough time to visit Pigeon Forge with the possibility of spending more time. When we arrived my husband was having issues with his arm. He was in a lot of pain and did not have a good night sleep. We wanted to cut our vacation a a little short and return home. We asked for a refund for the second night and they absolutely refused us any refund, we left that morning. So be prepared to pay the full price if you need to leave because of a health issue and it is my understanding for any reason. This is really to bad because I really like staying at the holiday express. There are so many other hotels we can try, I'm sure they are just as nice or nicer.

The remote control for the TV was missing and the front desk could not provide a replace that worked. To top it off we couldn't call the front desk because the phone in the room didn't work either.

The supposed Rapid Check Out that is slid under the door is not a rapid check out, it does not show your balance as being zero. You have to go to the front desk and ask them to reprint you one. So having to stand at the desk and have your receipt reprinted, even though it had only been printed a few hours before that is a waste and not rapid check out.

This has been our second stay at this hotel - our family enjoyed it so much on our summer travel on I-40, we stopped again there traveling for Christmas (it is exactly half way on our journey to see family).
The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and our stays there have been very relaxing.

Great place to stay. Area seemed safe and well lit. Room was in excellent condition as was the rest of the facility. Food was OK as is typical of Holiday Inn Express. TV reception was very poor.

After a long day on the road, I was greeted by a very nice and pleasant front desk associate. They greeted me by name and had my room ready with very little input from me. They also acknowledged my priority club membership level quickly. They were very helpful in giving me the property information and how I could secure my car in the parking lot as I was carrying equipment. The room was also very comfortable and much better than I expected arriving so late in the evening. The room was clean and was complete with a flat screen tv to watch the remaining few minutes of college football. I checked out prior to breakfast as I had to be at my final destination much earlier than originally expected. The checkout process was completely painless.

I arrived late at night around 2am. The front desk staff had turned the heat on in my room before I had gotten there which was wonderful cause it was very cold that night. After a long trip I was obviously ready to get in bed. I was checked in within a few minutes and off to my room I went. The bed was very comfy. I don't think I have slept that good in a long while. I woke up the next morning and made sure to get to breakfast so I could have a cinnamon roll and coffee if not anything else. It was delicious. The breakfast girl was very kind along with the front desk staff. I was only staying the one night but i felt very welcome and at home. I appreciated the good service and hope to stop back by soon. I was on my way to nashville so i just needed a sleep/relaxing break.

I had the unpleasant experience to be placed in Room 114. It sits alone between 2 exit doors and across from the vending machines and the room housing the elevator controls. Noise was constant with comings and goings to the rear of the property. Worst began at 5:30 am when most people, including me, would like to get some much needed sleep. Lucky for me the ice machine was out of service.

The night we arrived my husband thought our kids had left clothes under the bed and went to retrieve them. Instead he ended up touching a dirty washcloth that had been left under the bed. Early the next morning, about an hour and a half before we wanted to wake up, the motor on the fan in our heat and air unit went out and started making a horrible grinding sound that jolted us all awake. None of us could get back to sleep, which was frustrating after getting in late the night before from our trip. We mentioned all this to the front staffer, who just apologized but didn't not offer to make any amends on our bill. After some pressure, she finally did offer to take $15 off our stay. We have stayed in a lot of Holiday Inn Expresses and this one is not up to par. It looks like an old renovated hotel building. The parking is right up to the windows of the room with not even a sidewalk to separate the cars from the windows. The cars are literally outside your window if you are on the first floor. The front staff gave us a handicapped room without telling us that's what it was. In other places we have stayed, the staff has been courteous enough to let us know that. The breakfast was good and up to standard. But everything else was not, and we did not get a good night's sleep at all. The door shook really badly at 5:30 am when all those around us starting leaving their rooms. It seems like the older building might have contributed to that because it made our whole room shake and was much more of a disturbance than it is at the more modern buildings. The parking situation is very odd at this building, with the road curving around the building and nowhere to park on the sides. That was our first clue that this was not a standard Holiday Inn Express building. I would not stay here again if I had other choices.
