Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good experience, clean, pet friendly Our stay at Holiday Inn Express was great. The hotel was very clean as well as our room. The beds were comfortable and clean. The staff was courteous. Everything was great. The fact that your hotel is pet friendly is a HUGE plus. Pets are "family members" in today's world and we don't travel without our dog. My suggestion is to remain pet friendly and eliminate the weight limit. In my experience, I've found smaller dogs to be more of an issue than larger dogs in some cases. I've been on both sides of that fence!! ;) We were at your hotel for the 70th birthday party of my best friend's father. He has cancer and per his oncologist, this will be his last birthday. It was a special event. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. May 29, 2014

Once I checked out I was charged $120 more than my email conformation price. This issue is still unresolved and I'm waiting on the manager to fix the problem. May 29, 2014

And my stays are not frequent enough for someone to remember. The staff along with her are always very friendly. I have used the same room 3 times now and it is always clean. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Management I frequently stay with Holiday Inn as I travel for work. This particular stay was with a group travel ball team. We negotiated a group rate which we all had to call in to make reservations versus online as I usually do. Upon arrival I was informed that I would not be eligible for the cheaper rate because I did not stay two nights which, was not mentioned when I made the reservation. I asked to speak with a manager upon check out after the not so good stay but there is not a manager working on Sundays. During the stay basic cabe channels did not work which the manager said he would call me back about and I am suer received many complaints about. Also the elevator did not work and ice machine on the first floor. I asked for the manager to give me a call and when he did he said that if I didn't like my rate or stay that I should have stayed somewhere else. I called corporate customer service and they advised me that a manager would call me back in two days well 4 days have passed....... May 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay Went there with family for a baseball weekend at Carson-Newman Univ. Staff were great in recommending local restaurant's. The lady taking care of the breakfast room in morning was great. Was a very busy weekend with a basketball tournament and she always had food in their spots. Staff let us use the breakfast room for a family gathering and to play cards in. Hotel was being painted, so blue painters tape all around but was no big deal, They always had someone working the grounds to keep it clean, Highly recommend this Holiday Inn Express. April 8, 2014

I was in a Non Smoking suit on the 3rd Floor however every time I had to leave the room the entire 3rd floor stunk of Cigarette smoke. Other than that My stay was very peaceful. March 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and comfortable I spent 3 nights here. It was comfortable and clean. I was upgraded to a king room with a whirlpool tub. The first room I had the heater was extremely noises but the gentleman at front desk moved me to a different room which was fine. I didn't really feel totally comfortable in the room with the tub. I would never use it not knowing how clean it really is. Breakfast selection was pretty much the normal HIE food. Fitness room was under renovation. Was provided a small bottle of water as a Priority Club Member. Did not have the choice of additional points. March 2, 2014

I did not like the way the receipt for our stay was delivered, It was pushed under the very large crack in the door at 3AM. The room over all was clean and comfortable. Needed a lap tray for the computer, and updated speed for internet. Staff needs to talk to and smile at people. would recommend to friends for honeymoon. January 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great interior corridor hotel with plush beds! We had a very good stay, close to family. Rooms and staff were great! The only thing that was a major concern was that people were slamming their doors during sleeping hours. (It almost seemed on purpose with force). It was quite disturbing as we were exhausted from driving 18 hours the day of arrival. It also happened other nights, too, just not as many times. I would definitely return.... I would just hope it would be quieter.... Also, with such a busy stay, I neglected to ask if my stay could be applied to my Rewards Card. If so, the number is 482 634 320. December 28, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sweet upgrade; awesome room I am a Platinum IHG rewards club member, and upon arrival, we were told that the standard room we had booked had been upgraded to a king suite. When we got to the room, we were wowed at how large it was - it had a whole extra "living room" area, with an electric "fireplace", sofa, chairs. There was also a big jacuzzi tub in the bedroom area (which we did not use, but it looked nice). Everything was in great shape and clean; the wifi worked well, the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was the standard HI Express breakfast, and the area was kept clean and well-stocked. All of the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. This was a great stay and I highly recommend this hotel. December 14, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Getting There I could tell the hotel had done a lot of improvements but they still have some work to do. Didn't receive recognition as IHG member. I stayed on third floor and it smelled like the ventilation system was pumping cigarette smoke into the hallway. The room didn't smell of smoke but that's because it was saturated with air freshner. The bath towel had stains that were what I'm assuming was from someone else's body. Hotel staff was more concerned with talking to themselves than acknowledging guests. Like I said I could tell the hotel had made significant improvements but they still have a way to go to be par with their peers. November 30, 2013

Unfortunately, we were there on a night when there were many, many kids booked also. They were constantly running up and down the hallways and around the lobby. The parents/chaperones didn't seem to mind. Perhaps the person/s on duty tried to quiet them - touchy situation. Not sure there was anything that could've been done. Otherwise, we were very pleased with the accommodations and would stop there again. November 29, 2013
