I was able to get to the hotel by taxi (and found that staff are more than willing to book one). One thing though, some taxi drivers will drop you off round the back, instead of the front, as it will not cost you as much. However, you do have a short walk to get to the front. The comfort of the room was second to none, but there is quite a bit of noise from outside, as I was right above an ventilatiion facitilty! But I manged to get a good night's sleep, al and have a nice shower in the morning, thanks to the facitilites provided. The TV had a good picture and I was able to change channels and I was able to use the reading lights. The tempertaure of the room was easy to adjust. One thing I would point out: your room key MUST be inserted into the slot by the door and kept in it, as it operates the lights and the air-conditioning. The bed was comfortable and you get a choice of soft/firm pillows. I also had a sofa bed and it is quite easy to use, as instructions are provided. Coffee/tea, a kettle and a hairdryer are also provided and staff will bring you extra tea/coffee, as well as other items, free of charge. There is a telephone provided and staff are available 24/7. There are some leaflets and a guest form provided, as well as notepaper and a pen. One more thing though; not all rooms have a view of the Dartford Bridge!

I found this hotel very welcoming, with a nice room and free parking. Close to Bluewater and Lakeside shopping centre, and only 10 mins drive away from the o2 arena. Breakfast was nice, with good selection of hot and cold foods. My only negative thing was that all the disabled car parking spaces where taken up by drivers without a disabled parking permit - which I would have preferred as my wife is registered disabled. Hence, we had to park in a standard space. Apart from this, my hotel experience was very good.

This was our first stay at this hotel but I do not think it will be our last. It is a very comfortable hotel, very clean and tidy. The staff we met were friendly and helpful. The room was great and we never heard any noise from outside although the hotel is near a busy road. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from and as much as you want. I cannot fault this hotel and I would use it again and recommend to anyone..

Checked in for 2nights.Was impressed with the cleanliness of
the reception area. Receptionist was welcoming and helpful. Our room was very clean with a spotless bathroom. The bed was comfortable, though a bit bouncy when you're used to a firmer mattress. Breakfast was adequate with a good selection of cereals, fruit ,yoghurts toast etc. The hot section was disappointing with only scrambled eggs,baked beans and sausages. Over all it was a pleasant stay and hubby and I would stay there again when in the area.

We used the hotel as an overnight stop on he way to a funeral.
The staff were friendly and helpful. I am not a great fan of the open reception/dining area arrangements but it was OK. The evening meal was unimaginative but the quality was good. My wife really enjoyed the sausage and mash. The room was just as expected for this type of hotel, clean and fresh with a good bathroom. I liked the firm bed and had a great nights sleep, my wife prefers a slightly softer bed. We were worried about noise from the M25, but were at the rear of the hotel and there was no noise either inside the hotel or out.
I was not very keen on the diy breakfast arrangement, at first but the food was good, hot and fresh. The checkout was very easy and the male receptionist helpful. 9/10

I am based in the UK and travel for about 6 months every year overseas staying in IHG group hotels.
The stay here was excellent, nice clean room, every facility, great staff and the best beakfast options I have ever had.
Would highly recommend to anyone.

We booked into the holiday inn for an overnight stay, as a suprise 25th birthday party was being held nearby and this was suggested as a place to stay.
We felt the Holiday Inn had no atmosphere, the staff were friendly enough, but there was only football on the TV no mood music, the rooms were basic, no heating in the bathroom, towels not overly big, air con in main room kept us awake all night and dryed our throats.
Breakfast poor, no bacon, no milk jug for tea, had to top cup up from cereal milk machine. butter too hard to spread, no knives left, we had to ask for them.

comfortable hotel, clean, tidy, great room, great location.
just check before booking if a rugby team will be taking over the bar and restaurant completely for the weekend? reception may suggest you eat in your room!

I stay here regularly and the staff are all extremly polite and looking to take care of your needs. Nothing seems to be to much trouble. Restaurant can be busy but the food in general is nice and filling and there are plenty of large screen tv's for watching the sport.

I was very pleased with my last stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone. The rooms are always clean and the staff can't do enough to help you. I have stayed here on three different occasions now and will certainly be going back.

Was pleasantly surprised how good everything was. The only downside was finding it but they do warn you about that with the confirmation booking. Will definitely stop again this year without any hesitation. Nothing was too much trouble. We arrived on a very busy Friday night, staff were stretched but remained professional. Well done.

Although I stay in lots of hotels I am seldom driven to feed back on such good service that I received when I checked in to this hotel.
The young man that greeted me (I believe that his name was Liam) did so in such a warm and professional way that I felt immediately at ease. Not only was he very confident and well informed about the hotel facilities, he was also had a wealth of knowledge about the local area.
If this gentleman does not manage his own hotel in the near future it will be a travesty.

Couldn't fault the staff and hotel really. Only down side was the noise in the room which seemed to come from a boiler or such like. consequently didn't get much sleep as it was present all through the night. As we were only staying one night, didn't letit bother us too much and told reception in the morning who assured us it would be looked into. Other than that the hotel was spotless and food very nice (evening meal and breakfast). Value for money.

Hotel was more than sufficient for my business needs, i.e. desk for laptop and plugsockets etc. The double room was light and reasonably spacious with a comfortable bed and pillows.
Bathroom facilities were of a good quality and although I didn't have breakfast, dinner in the resteraunt was very good and reasonably priced for the area. The hotel is on the outskirts of the town and there are no resteraunts to walk to nearby. My only bugbear is that it cost me an additional £10 for wifi access in the room.

Unfortunately my stay this week was not a good experience my first room was to the rear of the property , I always request this preference to avoid the inevitable Road noise owing to the hotels location.
Unfortunately my room had approx 6 AC external units under its window and close proximity, I could not sleep as they weer constantly running,
I asked to change rooms but the only one available was a twin not a double but I took the offer up, only to find it was on the main road side , I managed about 2 hours sleep the entire night so wasn't particularly refreshed for the next day ahead.
I have booked again for next week but insisted on being away from the nuisance noises
The staff and food services I have to say are faultless

We stayed for 2 nights as a base for shopping at Bluewater.
The hotel appears to be placing itself in between it's 2 nearest competitors. One of them you can get a similar but probably more modern room for about the same price without breakfast and the other is classified as a 4 star hotel so offer a more luxurious product.
Very surprised to find out that the cooked breakfast didn't include bacon, just sausage, egg and beans.
The room we had was on the ground floor and the window had what looked like toilet paper stuffed into the seal to prevent a serious draft problem. The A/C in our room was the only heating available and having this on at night was inconvenient as noisy. The beds are shocking, it was like a trampeline. A poor nights sleep.
Sorry HIExpress, you need to do more to distinguish yourselves from your competitors. The experience fell short of my expectations when considering where you price yourselves.

Overall I would give 5 stars EXCEPT we read the notice in the bathroom re towels - ie hang them up if you don't want them changed or leave them on the floor if you do. We hung our towels up tidily but they were still changed every day! Perhaps your cleaning staff should be reminded of the procedure. It is quite pointless to ask guests to help with the laundry/environment if the staff are unable to follow procedure. Otherwise despite the weather during our stay -it was awful - the hotel was warm and welcoming and we would use it again

Got to say I have stayed at this hotel about 5 times now and
consistency of service is excellent, every time I ask for ground
floor and a quiet room, they always meet the request. Front of
house staff, very very helpful.
Breakfast could do with a slight change on the hot food, say
bacon as an option, otherwise fine. This time had to wait
for cutlery and scrambled egg for about 8 mins, staff were
rushed off their feet.

Room, Service and Price all excellent.
The only thing which let my stay down was the taxi firm booked by Reception - arrived 10 minutes late to take me to the station, and I missed my train and had to wait in the rain for half an hour. Beware of All Night Cars!
