Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by as expected, but could be better room is nice and comfortable. high ceilings, beds are comfortable. hotel can get a little noisy though, and you clearly hear the room doors close down the hallway. my shower took about 15 minutes for the hot water to come on, which was inconvenient. breakfast is the same as every other holiday inn express. location isn't the best, nothing to do in the area, but that's not why you would stay there. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Recommended! This was my first stay at the Deer Park location. As a Platinum Member, I've stayed at MANY HI properties over the years. I must say that this was an overall pleasant experience. The staff at the front desk was courteous and even assisted me with options for places to eat. Always seem to have a smile on their face as I came and went throughout the week. The hotel is clean, property kept, and appeared well cared for. The only issue with my stay was the person in the room in the floor above walked like an elephant, (seemed like forever) which became somewhat annoying. Next time, I will request a room on the top floor. Regardless, If ever staying in the Deer Park, TX area, this is the place to stay. March 7, 2014

I have traveled to Houston for years and have always had trouble finding a hotel that was nice enough to stay at twice. This will no longer be an issue and I look forward to my next stay. My only suggestion for improvement would be to add a set of dumbells up to 50 lbs to the fitness room. It would greatly increase the versatility of the fitness room, and give guests more options. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great room and staff This is a new hotel. The rooms and beds are great. The staff and service are great. The pool and workout room/equipment are good. The only issues are the breakfast (which is poor like all the HIE hotels where I have stayed) and the water pressure is poor (but that appears to be an issue with Deer Park as other hotels have the same issue). I was at this holiday inn for 2 weeks and it was one of the best holiday inns I have been at mainly because of the great housekeeping. They cleaned up and even made sure to replace the little things like soap every day. I will stay here again when I come to deer park. August 27, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and new property, bright interior, nice rooms but lumpy pillows and low water pressure The exterior of the hotel looked new, the interior was very right and modern. The decor matched the standard Holiday Inn Express which was nice. The room was large (2 Queen beds, couch, etc), lighting was good, beds were comfortable. The staff on check in and check out were very pleasant and helpful. The only cons of the visit were: Lumpy pillows (all 8 of them), very low water pressure in the shower. I stayed another night in a different room (using Rewards Points) and the pillows and shower were the same. Overall a good stay in Deer Park! July 9, 2013

It is very clean, quiet and extremely comfortable. it costs a few dollars more than some of the others, however the comfort level is superior, trust me, I have stayed in the others. June 27, 2013

Unfortunately, like many people, I've come to rely on that internet service for everything from changing travel plans, looking for restaurants, directions, etc. The frustration of not having a reliable internet service is enough for me to consider switching hotels next time I am in the area. Some small negatives on this Holiday inn Exp are, 1. Air condition does not heat well against cold weather. 2. The ceilings/floors are thin. You can tell what the guy upstair is doing. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Early Breakfast with Pancake Machine Hot breakfast at at 5 am and there is a pancake machine. Service at breakfast was very good (not running out of milk, etc). Flat panel TV, but not in HD--it looks funny. Great shower, towels, pillows, HVAC (thermostat on wall, maid doesn't mess with it). As usual, very uncomfortable sofa. Silly wifi password expires every 24 hours and changes on Monday morning. October 15, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by front desk issues Clearly some front desk issues exist at this hotel. When I checked in the woman was eating a meal at the front desk and couldn't be bothered to break away. Never looked up or made any eye contact. Made several rude remarks when I asked about dining options in the area and didn't really help. Was not greeted as a Priority Club member, was not given a water nor was anything else done to acknowledge membership. When the vending machine did not have water I went back to the front desk and was told everyone checking in gets a water - not me. Never once was eye contact made and bites of her meal were taken during the check in process. Her food was in clear view throughout the check in and I didn't really want to look at it. When I checked out it was somewhat better - different staff - but not at all friendly. No one said have a nice day or any type of friendly wish. Some opportunities for training exist at this hotel. The only thing I had an issue with was someone stealing gas from vehicles on the end of the building closest to the main road. While I was driving a rental car it was not an issue with me but the other people targeted would not think that way. I mentioned it to the desk clerk and she said they would have to review the tapes to check on this. I left the following day due to job finish soi do not know the outcome. July 14, 2012
