Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Warm & Comfortable Despite reaching late at night, the reception was the warmest ever. I was apprehensive about the whole thing since my past experience with budget hotels have been extremely poor. But Holiday Inn Express Pride Park proved that it is after all a Holiday Inn and is way above all the other hotels in a similar price band. The check-in was smooth - the receptionist welcomed us with a warm smile and was patient and kind while explaining everything about the hotel facilities and answering all our questions. The room was airy and bright and spotless, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast room was sunny!! We had expected a continental breakfast given the price but the 'few warm bits' (as put by the receptionist) included eggs and sausages - which was a total surprise and surely made the start of our day sunnier! Our weekend in Derbyshire was made absolutely perfect by our stay. Holiday Inn Express Derby - Pride Park should be really proud! Thank you! PS - You could maybe fix the plumbing of the bathroom sink as the water runs out very very very slowly... and probably the option of having some more 'light' in the room in the evenings (maybe a high wattage bulb or some additional lamps with yellow light...?) Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super value and great staff Right from time we arrived until we left the staff were so friendly, unfortunately our young (16 month) Daughter was unwell during the night, the following morning the staff could not have been nicer when we explained what had happened, while we were eating our breakfast our daughter was ill again, the duty manager Sarah I believe was so helpful and all of the staff made no issue of what had happened, we are so thankfully to you all and we would recommend your hotel to anyone May 23, 2013

However, as noticed on previous occasions, it is difficult to control the temperature in the bedroom. The air conditioning seems to cycle the temperature between too cold and too hot, rather than holding a constant temperature. May 19, 2013

Breakfast good, but limited choice of cooked items. Plenty of comfortable room to relax in lounge area. Overall enjoyable experience. Would not hesitate to stay again. April 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A very special weekend. We booked in at Pride Park on our way to a family function the next day. The Staff were very welcoming, explained to us everything we needed to know about our stay. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and we appreciated the choice of pillows. We were also pleased to be able to set the heating at a temperature that was comfortable for us. The buffet breakfast suited us as we could both eat as much or as little as we wanted, and there was a selection that suited everybody. On leaving, we thanked the Staff for a very pleasant stay. Holiday Inn Express never disappoints us, and we look forwars to our next stay. April 26, 2013
