The hotel staff was extremely friendly upon check-in and during our stay. Hotel is quite old and could definitely use some upgrades. Overall given the price and location it was a good stay. We did not report the noise level of the refrigerator until check-out as we did not realize until it was time for bed. Staff upon check-out said he would take care of it so we have no way of knowing if this was done. Pillows were way too soft so your head fell in as though you were going to suffocate.
Given my previous comments it was still a good stay and the staff overall was exceptional.

Stayed here prior to a wedding. Arrived late. Check in staff very friendly. Recognized as a Platinum member immediately. Breakfast staff quite friendly.

This hotel exceeded expectations. Nice, clean room and good breakfast with extremely attentive breakfast staff. Helpful and friendly desk staff and very good location, especially for sporting events. But the very best part was the awesome shuttle service. Very friendly and helpful drivers were at your beck and call to take you wherever you wanted to go and then return to pick you up. Even on a very busy sports day they did an AWESOME job. What a wonderful perk to have for an already nice hotel in downtown Detroit. Strongly recommend this hotel - a real gem for a reasonable price!

I am a gold level priority club member and stay at Holiday Inns whenever possible when I travel. The guest service was great and both people who worked the front desk were excellent very pleasant and attentive. The Room was awful. It was not very clean and you could tell corners in the room hadn't been cleaned in awhile. The worst part was the toilet kept dripping and every 45 minutes or so would flush. I am assuming that because the hotel is a high rise they need to flush extremely loud and hard. It was already 2AM and I didn't want to gather everything up and change rooms. I closed the bathroom door and stuffed towels in front of the door. It helped but didn't mask the extremely loud sound of flushing. I managed to fall asleep around 4:30 AM to only wake up because the air conditioner stopped working and was blowing warm air. I informed the front desk the next morning and he said " Oh, OK I will have someone check on it." He did not say sorry or apologize. I will continue to stay at Holiday inns in the future but I will seriously explore additional options when I travel to the Detroit area.

The weekend we spent in Detroit was packed with excitement. When returning to our hotel room to get a good nights sleep it was very easy. Our room was comfortable, spacious, the bed was perfect and above all the room was very clean. In the morning we were pleasantly surprised with the delicious breakfast that was available. Among all the delights we found with the hotel, the staff was just as pleasant as our stay. Thank you for the home away from home we experienced over our weekend away.

The best staff ever! I was greeted from the moment I walked in till I left. Very cozy beds. Breakfast was wonderful.
