- despite calling ahead to confirm room and check-in time 3:00 pm and if room would be ready ... room was not ready until 6:00pm (I arrived at 5:00pm). Only comment I received was "Each cleaning staff member had 20 rooms to clean." ... hmmm ... you knew how many reservations you had, you knew how many rooms you had to clean ... manage it ... do not give me excuses! They should have told me a water pipe broke or something - not that they were understaffed and did not plan accordingly ... okay, you have a lot of rooms to clean, why are there two of you at the front desk? Why isn't one of you cleaning my room? Nothing was offered in the way of compensation! ... NOTHING ... at the very least I should have received a 15% discount ... of the 20 hours I paid for, I was only able to be my room for 17 - 85% of the time I paid for (check-in 3:00pm, Check-out 11:00 am).
- parking lot was FULL! ... this hotel caters to the airport travelers ... offering long term parking. The result ... NO PARKING SPACES for the overnight guests! ... Suggestion from clerk ... check back at 8:00 pm, after planes arrive and guests pickup their cars! Really ... hmmm ... clerk made me feel as though it was my fault! Decided to park my vehicle right out front ... when I finally found a parking space, thankfully I have a 4 wheel drive, crew cab pickup truck ... I needed all of it to get over the snow bank and into a snow cover space (no car was parking there)... UNBELIEVABLE!
I would never recommend this hotel to ANYBODY, ANYTIME of the year - ever! And I will never allow my teams to stay here again.
I spend about 100 days a year in a hotel ... work and vacation ... I travel regularly with sports teams (I coach 4 different sport teams between my son and daughter and my wife coaches 3 different teams ... and we travel a lot!) ... in the last 20 years, I have NEVER had such a poor experience - from a customer service point of view. I normally only compliment my positive experiences - other people do enough complaining. However this time,,,,I am so .... done.
PS I was traveling with sports team - there were 4 other families in the same boat ... crazy.

I arrived at the Moncton Airport, every car rental place was out of vehicles. I called the hotel and they said they would send someone right over. No kidding, less than 5 minutes and a very helpful young lady was loading my luggage into the van. On the way to the hotel, I asked about a place to get supper and the driver was more than helpful with suggestions. She even offered to drive me, if I needed a ride. Next morning, I needed a ride to my business meeting and rather than have me take a cab, the hotel shuttle dropped me off at the front door. Everyone from check in to shuttle drivers were patient, helpful and very informative. I was there on business and what is important for me are: clear internet, plugs for my laptop and printer, good desk space AND a clean and comfy bed. This hotel has it all and the staff just put the icing on the cake. Keep it up, Moncton HI Express, you're doing a great job!

After two days of terrible travelling it was nice to be greeted with a friendly fave and polite service. The staff was very accommodating and easy to deal with and after I had left to return home I discovered I left my visa behind. They located it for me in a snow bank and couriered it home to me at their cost. Thank you to the management and staff. Chris from St. John's.
