I stayed here with my 11 year old, 7 year old, and 8 month old. It was the halfway point for us on our way to and from Williamsburg. We stayed on the way there and back home. The pool and hot tub were wonderful! The breakfast had something for everyone. It was a very safe and welcoming environment!

Great staff, the people at night and day are friendly, fast, yet willing to listen and help. The lobby decor is unexpectedly different from boring hotels. the large stone fireplace and wood work fit the hotel setting, both my wife and I thought it was exceptional. The room was extremely clean and new, there are a lot of details that made our stay nice comfortable (pillow cases labeled firm or soft). The beds are very comfortable and the heating and cooling was excellent and I am very picky about that.. Great Breakfast!! We felt safe too!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by anjsmith Very nice hotel, easy on/off the turnpike
I stopped here while on business and thought it was isolated, it is but it is a very nice property. The girl at the desk was very nice and offered a restaurant, Foggy Mountain, which was great.
The lobby was rustic and had many trophies from the owners hunts that are pretty cool (unless you don't like that kind of thing), I thought is was the most unique Holiday Inn lobby I have seen and I enjoyed it. My room was very nice, I slept great and got up to find the gym being renovated so I could not work out, they offered a local gym pass but I did not have time.
Overall a great hotel and once find, the area is pretty and I would stop here again for sure.
