Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient Location Although the bed was comfortable, the room clean, and the internet worked well, probably the best feature of this hotel for me is its central location and convenient access to the Metro. The Business Bay Metro Station is a 5 to 10 minute walk away (depending on how fast you walk). From there, it is easy to take the Metro to just about any place you would want to go that is close to a metro stop. My appointments generally were limited to the area between the World Trade Center and Mall of the Emirates, so the Business Bay Metro stop was a great starting point. Word of warning about the naming of the metro stops. The stop name does not always relate to closeness to a particular location. Some of my appointments were at the Dubai International Financial Center. The first day I made the mistake of getting off the Metro at the Financial Center stop. The most convenient stop for the Financial Center is Emirates Tower. Only about a 2-3 minute walk to DIFC from there. June 11, 2013

One only problem, no iron in the room, better ask for it and do all the iron job at once. Great breakfast even though no white cheese and not enough fruit. I enjoyed anyway my stay being a person who has frequented all kinf of hotels. Ah, the desk was fantastic having comfortable chair and all the outlets on the desk. June 5, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EXCELLENT VALUE As a HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS property this is good value for money, especially with the free breakfast. Seasonal prices can be suprisingly good. Checkin was fast and efficient and staff very helpful and friendly. Room is clean and bright, and the recently upgraded LED TV's are nice. Comfortable bed and room, with complimentary water and newspaper for PC members was appreciated. Nice location for Safa Park access. 15 minutes to Trade Center. May 7, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worth every penny We stayed in this hotel for almost a week and have booked 2 rooms. Our flight arrived in Dubai a bit early and went to the hotel straight away. The hotel staff was able to accommodate us and was able to check in around 9am, later around noon time, we got the other room. The following day, after the room (which has a connecting room) became vacant, they immediately gave it to us since this was our initial preference as we have kids with us. The breakfast which comes in complimentary was also good. The hotel also provides shuttle service to Dubai Mall and Jumeirah beach which is a major plus. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Dubai and do not want to waste a fortune on hotel bills, as I've said it's worth every penny. Metro is near and taxi's are always available. Special thanks to Linda and Zeeshan at the frontdesk for being always ready to assist us on all of our request. The hotel security was also very courteous. On a final note, priority reward members are indeed given priority so make sure to present your card during check-in. April 20, 2013

But if you look at most comments on value hotels in good locations, there's always a compromise I will recommend this property to all…see you on my next visit many thanks for Mr. Sheta for his professional way concerning the issue of my flight booking and so sorry if i give you hard time during the check in April 16, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by WIFI, Irons and poor room, poor service I have stayed here many times in the past but this will be my last, the hotel was very poor I checked out early and moved to another hotel. The internet was very poor low speed and kept cutting out it was impossible to work with, I told reception and they sent a man around to fix it but the problem persisted for 3 days. First night I was promised an iron would be brought to my room I chased it for 2 hours and they kept promising me but no iron was ever brought as they said they had run out and for two days I had to wear crinkled clothes for meetings. How much can it cost to put and iron in every room honestly! Two days I travelled and needed taxis to the airport early in the morning so I asked the hotel to book me them and neither turned up because they didn’t bother to book them! I ended up taking a private limousine service at twice the price so I could make my flights. Room was grubby and the shower was held together by sealant tape and didn't work well just ran down the wall, the wardrobe propped up with wooded wedges to stop it tipping up and the carpet was dirty. I feel sorry for the good staff like Bakr and Mohamed (duty managers) who do so much to make you feel welcome but the hotel is let down by poor investment up keep and training – like many reviews it’s a good location and thats why I stayed in it. It's a shame i enjoyed staying at the hotel in the past. April 5, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very enjoyable I had made a booking at this hotel, because I knew the room was going to be of at least a standard American quality. I found my stay at this hotel very enjoyable - it is a quick walk to the Tram, and with the tram, is very close to both of Dubai's large malls. The hotel was extremely easy to get to from the airport, as it is the same tram line that goes from the airport to this hotel. This hotel was great for my stay, and allowed me to check in early and store my luggage after check out until my flight later on in the evening! March 13, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect location We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the start of the Dubai Marathon - it worked out perfectly! The room was comfortable and good-sized, the bathroom new and clean. Lighting was good in all areas. We really liked the breakfast choices, though its best to go earlier in the morning as it does get pretty busy towards the end of the buffet time and items aren't always readily replenished. The staff were friendly and helpful - especially at check-in. If you are a Priority Club member you can ask for a later check-out time (2:00 p.m.). Excellent proximity to the Metro (8 minute walk to the Business Bay station) and only one stop from the Dubai Mall. Also nice to be by Safa Park - which is a great place to see local families enjoy the evenings/weekends. February 4, 2013

You can hear every conversation, whisper and footstep in the hallway, which is extremely disturbing (and I don't say this as a light sleeper or a serial complainer). My room could have been unusual, I suppose, but I doubt it; the entire hotel is a pre-packaged block where there's no room for individual room specifications. February 1, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Average Hotel with Poor Service Have been an ambassador with the Intercontinental Group of Hotel and tried staying in several Holiday inn /express and Intercontinental hotels. This stay had been the worst experience at Holiday Inn Safa Park. Was not acknowledged by staff throughout the stay and had to approach unfriendly staff at reception for assistance. Room key was deactivated access to the room daily to our horror even though the key card was kept nowhere near any electronic devices. Wifi access was unstable even with free wifi facility throughout hotel. Highlighted issues to staff but staff was not empathetic and insistent on their view that nothing was wrong without even lending a listening ear. Limited breakfast variety available but no complains since expectations of the hotel is of a 2 star hotel by the end of the second day of my stay. Only plus point is cheap room rate inclusive of breakfast and wifi in rooms. Would certainly not return or recommend hotel to anyone. Surprised that this is under Holiday Inn Group of Hotels branding. January 24, 2013

The garage service is comfortable if cars are not too large. The lobby is very clean and comfortable. We changed rooms cause some had not been completed in renovation to new TV. One of my collegues (Dr. Sugahara) had a problem of wire connection on 12/06 and had his room re-assigned. His laptop was not originally fit for Wi-Fi and he tried to connect through a cable. My family and me were very upset because of the time YOU choose to make your maintenance tasks. I don't like to stay in a hotel were someone is hitting the wall in the room close to mine. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Unfortunately a bad experience due to excess levels of noise.... I visited this hotel for 2 days in late October 2012 for some rest and meet friends. Unfortunately, at 8:00am we were woken up by the sound of a power drill as they were undertaking essential maintenance. Although, the matter was brought to the management's attention and I was re-assured that the noise will not be on-going thigns didn't get better. The noise continued the whole day despite reassurances that it will be finished by mid-day so we can at least enjoy a peaceful afternoon. I had the "luck" of being distrubed even on a much needed afternoon nap. No real recognition for Gold members and certainly we didn't feel that we were looked after. Emailed several times customer services who responded very coldly with a typical corporate email and without any offer for even the slightest in kind compensation. Do not expect anything when dealing with customer services, really appalling and lacking customer focus. The hotel is advertised as close to the beach and offering a complimentary shuttle service to the beach. However, it runs only once a day at 10am and returns at 2pm, no other options. Last but not least, breakfast was really limited. All you get is toast, some juice, bakon, eggs and beans. If you would like some fresh fruits you might as well forget them.... November 9, 2012
