The front desk lady was very warm, welcoming, and helpful. The lady in charge of breakfast was very personable, helpful, and conscientious. The housekeeping staff was very friendly. One lady even pushed the elevator button when she saw us approaching. It was a great experience from check in to check out. We hope we are able to stay there again sometime.

We try to stay in Holiday Inns if they are in the city we are traveling to or enroute. We have stayed at the Dublin VA hotel twice a year for the past five years enroute from Alabama to Pennsylvania and return. Of all the Holiday Inns we have stayed in, this one is our favorite. We have a Samoyed dog and this is a very pet friendly hotel. The staff is super friendly and very efficient. The breakfast is managed very efficiently and there are tasty choices available. This has to be the best indoor swimming pool, because it is heated so well that the temperature is always comfortable. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Any time we are passing through VA, we will definitely make this one of our stopovers.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express this weekend. When we pulled up to the hotel at 2:00pm, approximately 8-10 cleaning people were sitting on the bench and standing in front of the hotel, most of them smoking. We proceeded into the hotel and were told at the front desk that the rooms were not ready and that check in wasn't until 3:00, which we did understand. However, maybe the rooms would have been ready had the cleaning
staff not been outside on a group smoke break. When we did check in at 3:00, I found it ironic that there was a sign clearly posted on the wall that said it was a smoke free property. Once we were in the room, I had the following concerns, the bathroom door didn't close all of the way due to the tile on the floor (the door was dragging), the alarm clock blinked and could not be set with the appropriate time and the AC was loud when it turned off. While we did experience several things that were not great, we
did enjoy the decor of the room, the amenities provided and the substantial breakfast in the morning. While I have no doubt that we will stay in a Holiday Inn Express again, I do doubt that we will return to this one.

The hotel is nice and clean and near good restaurants. But the internet connection is terrible. I have stayed there twice but not again as I conduct business via internet and even at 4:00AM the connection was not good. I reported this problem the first time and only got a smile from the person at the reception desk.
If a person does not need the internet the hotel is good. However, watch out for activities at Virginia Tech as the price is hiked.

This was one of the most pleasant and best managed Holiday Inns I have stayed at in the past 20 years. I heartily recommend them - and I will definitely stay there again next time I am in southwest Virginia.

I recommend this facility to everyone! Previously, I had never been to a place where we were treated like royalty from the time we walked through the door until the time we left. The staff were so friendly and courteous. They went above and beyond the call of duty to please the customer! Housekeeping was wonderful! The breakfast was incredible! We all walked away a very satisfied and pleased customer! We will definitely, without a doubt, be back when we are in the area again!

The rooms were nice and clean, the beds were comfortable and a good selection of pillows.
The breakfast was good and there was a variety of items to choose from.
All of the staff were very friendly and pleasant and helpful.

My husband, daughter, and I visited relatives, and stayed at the hotel. While swimming in the evening, my blood sugar dropped. There was fruit out for guests, so my sister got me an apple. But in addition, a member of the front desk staff got the juice machine running so we could have something that would work more quickly. She also checked on us several times to make sure we were ok. On our way to check out, the cleaning staff chatted with our 2 year old. Everyone was very helpful and quite friendly. We are thinking of contacting the hotel to block rooms for a family reunion in November.

This is a place I feel comfortable to stay and feel safe. I have stayed here in the past then tried other places in same area but was unhappy so returned. I plan to use this place several times a year. The food was excellant and was one of the best assortment I have found in the US, VanCouver, Barcelona - Spain.

Our experience was really good. The facility is extremely nice and the staff was great. The indoor pool was wonderful after a day on the road and our room was very nice and clean. Very comfortable bed and great overall facility. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The lighting in the bathroom is one of the best I have seen in many throughout the USA and a few places elsewhere. It enabled me to apply makeup without looking like a clown and my husband was able to shave without nicking himselt.

I was extremely disappointed by the customer responsiveness in a recent stay. It began with checking in and learning that our 3rd room had been given away.
The staff in general had little or no concern about the fact that we did not get our handicapped room for my elderly mother and only wanted to make sure that we were wrong and that they had followed black and white polices.
To end the stay, our room was not completely cleaned. When, I requested towels, once again rather than respond that they would be provided, we were asked whether we had left the no disturb sign on the door. This could not have been the case because dirty towels had been removed but new ones were not returned.
On top of everything we were charged double the normal room rate due to limited hotel availability in the area due to graduation at Virginia Tech.

Although we were only there for one night, everyone made us feel at home. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable and fresh. The complimentary breakfast items were execllent and I can't stop talking about the great warm cinnamon buns.

Friendly & helpful service @ front desk, as well as other staff members. Appreciated the little extras in the bathroom. Everything was fine ie the bedroom. We plan on stopping again next year on our way and from Florida. Thank you. Have a good year.

I have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express , and this one is not run well. My husband went to shower and shave, no hot water. They had turned off the boiler. This was not the first time it happened. The kind lady at the desk said it had happened previously that week. Then get it fixed!!!!!!! Went down for breakfast , no coffee. Every Holiday Inn Express I've stayed at had 4 containers, here was 2 and she didn't even keep them filled. This is at the peak of breakfast. The attendent is filling up the mints by the front desk! Hot food, almost empty , and they are cold. I have to say the lady at the front desk was very understanding and trying to do her best to appease people. Definitely won't stay in that particular hotel again.

wow. This hotel is in need of a makeover. It was so old. I spent the previous night at another Holiday Inn Express which was either newer or recently updated - - wow - - i learned next time to inquire on when the hotel was built because there was a huge difference. This hotel looks and feels old.
I first got ticked at this hotel because when registering, the staff member forced me to get my license plate number. The previous nights hotel - also a holiday inn - did not require it. This hotel was booked because of an accident on the hwy so I had to park pretty far away, carrying three bags of luggage and dragging two kids (one newborn and one two year old) with me. What annoyed me is the staff member said he needed it because there were "some incidents previously." That implies to me that he didn't trust who I say was in my room was actually in my room. Like I was bringing more people to my room then stated. And the fact I had to drag that much luggage and my humanoids around to get the six letter # didn't help my mood.
When we first got a room, it smelled like urine. Not in any way an overstatement. It smelled like stagnant and fermenting urine. We requested another room and were "upgraded" to a suite. The "suite" is a joke. I saw very little difference between the "okay" two bed room to the "fancy room" - - a $50 mini fridge and a $200 couch and a much bigger room, which felt empty because there was nothing to fill the bigger space. The only thing that stood out to me was the TV was much further away from the bed - because the room is twice as wide yet the tv is the same size as the other rooms, so we had to squint to see it.
In the AM the breakfast was so so. Better at the last hotel (Also H.I.E.).
As a last note, they didn't unlock the pool until we hunted down someone and asked - about an hour after the pool was to be open.

The ONLY thing that was BAD about our stay at the Dublin, VA. Holiday Inn Express was the weather.
We were informed that there was going to be fairly good snowfall, hail, ice and the roads may be in the form of a 'black ice' condition.
The breakfast food selection was appealing, the staff and their service was great and we will definitely stop there in the future.
A very nice quaint town with good dining restaurants.
