The electrical outlets were not entirely convenient. It would have been better if there were more of them spaced around the room instead of all being in one place. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and spacious. Really great.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JohnR67 Great airport stop for transatlantic travel
The Dublin airport HI express is a great place to stop after a long flight to get over jet lag, or as a convenient airport overnight when catching a morning flight.
Comfortable beds, quiet rooms, friendly, welcoming service.
The holiday Inn is next door to the more expensive Crowne Plaza hotel, operated by the same company. The CP has two restaurant choices - a pub style restaurant and a more upscale Asian fusion restaurant, which also offers a full hot breakfast buffet and a la carte breakfast entrees for a small additional fee if the cold continental breakfast next door at the Holiday Inn is not to your liking.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Happy04 Well mannered and courteous staff
From the front desk, we felt very welcome because the staff on duty at the time was warm and friendly. She also had a heartfelt smile on her face. Infact you need to visit to appreciate the importance of meeting well mannered and courteous staff. Breakfast was good and freshly cooked.

Sometimes it can be a bit tricky staying outside of your intended goal. The staff at the HIE Dublin Airport made it a breeze. From the free airport shuttle to accurate information on the local bus schedule, traveling around Dublin was such a snap. Can't forget about free breakfast and free WiFi to round out this great trip. High recommend this property to travelers !!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by NDW41 Room not adequate for three persons
We expected the room to be a little larger for three persons. We had no room to move around and manage our luggage after 11 days on the road in Ireland. We also asked for a wake-up call, but never received. Also the location for the pick-up for the shuttle to the airport the next morning was not clear. We went back and forth between the Holiday Inn Express and the Crowne Plaza to understand where the pick up would be and what bus to get on.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TwoTravellers2013 Great service, excellent value for money
I am really impressed with this property. We traveled overnight from the USA and arrived in Dublin at 5.30 am. The hotel bus happened to be waiting at the airport and it delivered us to the hotel speedily. We hoped that we could check in early and the hotel was able to accommodate this request. A charming gentleman checked us.
The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Nice bedding and sufficient towels in the bathroom. After we slept for a short while we decided to go into Dublin for the day. The hotel staff gave us directions to use the local bus that was just down the street. The walk to the bus was charming as there were swans and ducks on the lake by the hotel. The local bus was quick and comfortable and inexpensive and got us right downtown Dublin.
After our day sightseeing we took the local bus back and we had dinner at the Crowne Plaza next door to the hotel. The hotels are alongside each so it is literally a minute's walk. Food and service were excellent.
Breakfast at the hotel itself the next morning was very good. An excellent selection of hot and cold foods. We were pleasantly surprised as we expected just continental but there was more than sufficient choice.
Checkout was easy and the staff were gracious and helpful. The hotel bus took us back to the airport.
If you need to stay near the airport in Dublin I would highly recommend this property.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ljmartin2801 Best service, value and location for airport
This is the best airport location hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was superior in their knowledge and were extremely helpful in every question we asked. Hotel was clean, quiet and food was very good. The transportation to the airport with a little breakfast bag was a lifesaver! Would definitely stay here again

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by cocd53 Holiday Inn/Express Dublin Airport
We chose Holiday Inn at Dublin airport to spend our last night in Dublin and be close to the airport for an early morning flight.
The Holiday Inn was one of the few hotels that offered rooms for 3 adults. We were travelling with our daughter and her 18 month old baby so it was important that we be together. The room was cramped but we also travelled with a lot of luggage!!
We did have great difficulty finding the porperty, GPS was not helpful and calling the hotel receptionist was no better at giving directions se we drove around for close to 30 minutes trying to find the property. At arrival the driveway was blocked by tour bus. There was no luggage trolley available so we had to have the staff search for one.
There are no mini fridges available so baby's mils was stored in the staff office.
Our room was clean and there were plenty of towels. There were no additional amenities such as shampoo etc but again this was a 1 nigh visit.
The morning breakfust was sustaining prior to departure. There was a wedding near by so there was niose.
Overall for the proximity to the airport I would use this property again but limited to 1 night stay.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by comall outdated and need for revamp
Hotel appears to have all adjoining rooms which is not great. Layout of corridors of rooms is very like a hospital. Our room smelt of smoke even though hotel was supposedly all non smoking. Room needed to be painted. Burn hole in window net curtain. Carpet and bed linen seemed really old. Overall grubby feel about the entire room. Room was small. Bathroom was also small. Seal around the shower had started to come away and discolour. Bed itself was small despite it being a double bed. Mattress was really poor quality.
Staff were all very nice and self serve breakfast was ok but really for the price of this hotel it was not great.

Make sure your guests know that they must keep their key in that slot inside the door to keep the light/air on in the room. We wasted several calls and minutes before we were told by a nice housekeeping guy.
Loved the room otherwise - fun and techy - I particularly loved the bathroom door that swung to close off the toilet - that was a WOW (i'm an interior designer so I guess that's why I particularly loved it)

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NMR1 Great Advice & Service!
We were extremely pleased by our reception. The staff went out of their way to get us checked in as early as possible, as we were very jet lagged. The advice they gave us for getting into downtown Dublin by the local city bus instead of going back to to the airport to get an express bus was also excellent. It was fun and you get a flavour for the city, especially from the upper level. The park across the street was great for after dinner walks.

I choose HHI because of past experience in the US and I was certainly pleased with the hotel appearance, location and staff. This was the last stop after 12 days in Ireland and it met all expectations. I would recommend this location toall seeking service and value.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NC13 Fantastic Front Desk Staff
Unexpected change of flights required conversations with front desk staff in person and on the phone while at the terminal. Although very busy, they gave me confirmation numbers and assured me that my room requests and changes would be accommodated-they absolutely were. I can't say enough for the staff on not just this visit but previous stays also, they are a credit to Holiday Inn Express.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AmyandChris Nice hotel, good location to the airport
With two children (free in the parents' room# and free breakfast we paid a very fair price for the room. Last year we were in Dublin in a hostel for more or less the same price, but with much less comfort and cleanliness. In the Holiday inn we had a lovely room, in front oft the hotel is a nice park.
Only problem was to find the hotel, because our car's navigation system didn't accept the address and there weren't any signs, that the hotel was kind of hidden on a private road behind another hotel, you can't see it from the public street..
It is close to the airport, so of course you hear the planes coming and going. Very easy to reach the airport from there, 5-max 10 minutes.

Stayed 2 nights. Hotel location is very good in a quiet , calm neighbourhood. No upgrades available. But rooms are adequate for just the stay , lobby is welcoming , but computer use is expensive. 4 Euro for 1 hour. Free Breakfast was good. Nice , clean hotel. Will stay here again on my next visit in August

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by rkw310 Could not have been better
We ended thirty days of continuous travel by staying at the Holiday Inn Express near the Dublin airport. It was like an oasis for weary travelers. From the moment I entered the lobby we were treated with a friendly, courteous, and more than helpful staff. Since we had to depart at 4 AM the next morning, the staff had a take-away breakfast prepared for us. It was a pleasure to stay at the hotel. I'd recommend it to everyone.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dude21 Will recommend
The bed was great, the sofa bed was a bit hard though. The bathroom and toilet were excellent. The variety of electrical outlets was of big value. Breakfast was OK, though there could be more variety and the scrambled eggs were barely enjoyable. Good public transport to the city centre and conveniently close to the airport. With all the criticism vented, I will clearly recommend to stay at this hotel.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mikey6054 Clean and quiet
The Hotel is close to the airport and there is a shuttle every 30 minutes.
Rooms are clean and have US 120 V outlets (which is nice)
It lacks a bit of atmosphere as next door is a Crown Plaza with a bar so I think most people congregate there.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Buddy2 Proximity to the airport good
We chose this location because of the price and that there was a free shuttle to the airport. The shuttle uses a centralized location at the airport so passengers must allow an additional 5-10 minutes for walking to either terminal 1 or 2. There are a couple of restaurants within waking distance of the hotel. We had booked a room with a double bed and sofa bed thinking we would have more space, but instead we were put in a room with just a double bed and were told all the rooms are about the same size. Room was very basic - no frills, but for an overnight stay it was ok.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cruiser100 Comfortable bed; great location
The hotel is perfectly situated if you are going to or from the airport. However, the airport bus only picks up at Terminal 1 which is quite a walk (pulling your luggage) if you are arriving from (or departing from) Terminal 2 which we were. Therefore, we paid about 10 Euros for a taxi to take us from hotel to Terminal 2.
Unless you have a car, there are not many dining options around the hotel (and this hotel has no evening dining available). However, the staff recommended a few places and we chose the Crown Plaza next door and ate in the pub (which I highly recommend.)
The hotel's pricing is quite reasonable, and I would definitely stay here again. The complimentary breakfast was very good and opened at 6 a.m. to accommodate early departures. The room certainly meets the traveler's needs in every way.
Staff at the hotel were very helpful (as we found all people in Ireland.).
I did ask for a complimentary upgrade in recognition for Priority Club Membership, and front desk told me that rooms were "preassigned." and no upgrade was possible. When checking in I was asked if I wanted a "wakeup call" which I did, but I never got the call. A month earlier I advised Holiday Inn that I wanted my stay posted to my United Airlines account; however, when checking in to the Dublin hotel, they were unable to process the United Airlines number and told me to write directly to Holiday Inn.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by diplomat Nice Basic Hotel
Rooms were very basic, but generally clean and sufficient. The bathroom was a bit small, and noise insulation in the rooms could have been a bit better. Breakfast was nice, and had a selection of pastries, yogurts, etc. The Crowne Plaza next door had a decent pub. There is a somewhat overpriced Italian place within walking distance. Hotel has a good bus shuttle service to/from the airport. A local bus also stops about 150 meters from the hotel.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WearyTraveler11 Perfect for overnight layover
I had an overnight layover in Dublin and needed a place to rest before continuing on. This hotel had a free shuttle that picked me up at the airport. I was able to easily follow the directions to the designated pick up location and took a short 10 minute ride to the hotel. The staff at the desk were warm and professional. My room was clean and had all the amenities I needed. The bed was comfortable and the temperature of the room good. Breakfast in the morning had a nice variety and the staff there were friendly as well.
I was exhausted from my travels, needed a good nights rest, shower to clean up, and good food to keep me going. This was the perfect place to comfortably and easily get that. So glad I spent the money to stay here instead of the night in the airport. Would highly recommend to any friend and use again if I needed to. Thank you!
