Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CHIGS Nice hotel and Nice area
The hotel was nice and the Northwood area itself was nice, there was a lovely park across the road. The room was excellent, cleanliness and comfort were of high standard. There was supposed to be a cocktail hour in the club lounge but cocktails were not available. Beer, wine and soft drinks were the available drinks. We ate in the bar and the order was mixed up so i had to wait for my order while all my friends were served and finished their food before i got mine. They apologised and said it would not be charged but when it came to chekcing it was on the bill but was removed upon request, the Hotel was lovely but quite expensive. It was right next to another Hotel and parking was shared by the 2. Staff were friendly and polite.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by coach2020 great place
Other than our service in the bar's restaurant being very slow getting us a receipt we had a fantastic stay here. I do wish they would offer hand towels but other than that the rooms are great, the breakfast is fantastic and the guy who drives the airport shuttle really knows how to make the trip a good time. He even went out of his way to find the ipod my daughter left on the shuttle bus and bring it to the United lady who had called them for us! Fantastic service. I would highly recommend the place.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TERRY35 NOT MY FIRST CHOICE HOTEL BUT VERY SATISFIED
I HAD WANTED TO BOOK BLANCHARDSTOWN WHICH WAS NOT AVAILABLE,, SO i WAS PLEASED TO ACCEPT THE ONE NIGHT STAY HERE BEFORE MOVING ON FOR THE OTHER 6 NIGHTS.
HOWEVER I NOW KNOW NORTHWOOD AND WOULD USE IT AGAIN.
THE PARK SETTING WAS VERY ATTRACTIVE
BUT MOST IMPORTANT WAS THE GREETING BY OLGA ON RECEPTTION AND THE ASTTENTION BY PORTER MARLON

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Harold 65 Let down by TV and bathroom
The room that we had was classed as 'accessible' but unfortunately the bathroom let it down. The shower was over the bath but usually in a accessible room I would expect to have a walk in shower. My wife has problems getting over the edge of a bath. I did at time of booking ask about the shower and was told it was a walk in one.
We were very surprised that the television was an old tubed one rather that a LCD wide screen. It did mean that a lot of the people being interviewed were cut off. The program was about the Commonwealth Games so it was important to see every one who was talking.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bonnie438 Excellent staff and accommodations
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Crowne Plaza in Sandry, Dublin. It has always been my dream to visit Ireland and it was a dream come true. My stay at The Crowne Plaza definitely played a part in that. The hotel was extremely clean and very comfortable.
The full Irish breakfast was always delicious.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention one of the front desk staff, Beth. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was fabulous. She helped us with directions to local places to visit, helped us with transportation(I.e taxies, etc.)
Beth was remarkably helpful, professional and always pleasant and kind.
I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who will be travelling to Dublin.
Thank you to Crowne Plaza, the staff especially Beth.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Boazkl Perfect hotel
We enjoyed every minute in this hotel.
We were 2 families and we came twice - (one at the beginning of the trip, and the second one at the end of the trip)
The rooms, breakfast and the lobby was excellent,
altough i have to mention that wev'e took a room for 4 people (2 double beds) and the beds are smaller then the standart double bed.
besides that, as i said before everything was perfect, and specially the good service (there was a lady that check-in us, but i can't remember her name - she was really nice and helpful).
There is a free shuttle bus to the airport which is really good, and it was one of the reasons that we choose this hotel. there is a public bus to the city that takes around 25 minutes drive (costs 2.60 EURO for one way ticket)
If i will come in the future to Dublin, i will definitely choose this hotel.

I highly recommend! The hotel and staff are top quality. The breakfast buffet was excellent and most important was the cold Guinness I drank the night before. The beer alone is an excellent reason to visit Dublin.

When we arrived at the crowne plaza it was very busy we ate in the lounge the service was fast, friendly staff and excellent food. Before we left we ate again in the lounge it was a quiet day but service was very slow we waited 25 minutes to receive a menu and after ordering another 30 on our food which was paninis, burgers and soup. The waitress was plesant but was very unsure of what to do. I presume she was new. Excellent hotel, friendly service, rooms very comfortable and overall a strong 4 star hotel.

We have always stayed in Crowne Plaza's sister hotel "Holiday Inn" - however this hotel was not available, so call centre suggested we stay @ the Crowne Plaza - it was more expensive than Holiday Inn - but it was certainly worth it - just loved the décor, so stylish and elegant.

Was meant to be booking into a hostel but I was completely wiped out from jetlag (the worst I;ve ever experienced) so used this time to recharge my batteries for a day which was the best decision I could have made.

My only concern was with the level of service in the bar. Having obtained my free drink token I went into the bar at approximately 9.50 p.m. I waited for the bar attended for 5 minutes, only one person behind the bar.
When I tried to place a meal order to accompany my drink I was advised it was too late as the kitchen was extremely busy and they would not accept any more orders.

lovely hotel, great rooms. Bar area congested and overtaken with loud wedding party. Disrupted sleep due to noise of guests of wedding party, i.e., awakened several times by yelling in the hall way by drunk guests of wedding party.

I had the pleasure of staying here for a night before a flight from Dublin airport. The hotel has a really luxurious feel, and I wish I had had longer, to be honest. Through my IHG membership level I also had access to the executive lounge, where I had breakfast in the morning.
Very comfy bed, and I would gladly stay here again. It might be a little distant from the city centre, but for an airport stop over, it would be very hard to beat.
The hotel operates a free and regular shuttle bus to the airport, which I used without any problems.

I had made an online reservation that was not exactly correct. The great staff at the front desk was able to find us two rooms that exceeded our expectations. We had a great time and enjoyed our time in Dublin because of the efforts of your staff...

very nice hotel, with very friendly reception staff - unfortunately they did not send the extra towels I asked for at all.
there is a great club lounge on the 4th floor which we used on the evening of our arrival to relax outside of the room - unfortunately there was a very rude polish woman working in there and made us feel as if we had walked into her own bedroom while she was eating - she needs a lesson in manners and guest relations or better still a new job !

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by GFS1517 The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
The Good: For a very early flight the next day, this hotel would suffice. Shuttle is free, and right on time! Staff was friendly and efficient. The bed was very comfortable. The room was modern. There was a free bottle of sparking water- a nice welcoming touch.
The Bad: 1) The a/c in our room did not work properly; it was hot. Although management was prompt to send someone to adjust the thermostat, the a/c worked only for a moment. We were too weary to bother to call again. It might have been nice if management checked with us if everything was okay, and if not, offer us another room; and 2) The hotel felt like in the middle of nowhere. There was hardly any dining, or last minute shopping options.
The Ugly: Some of the grout in the shower could use a little scrubbing.

Night shift manager was amazing, received us with great courtesy. Hotel was very clean, some banging in the morning not sure whether it was the cleaner or work going on. Club breakfast not exactly continental as advised. But overall, it was a great experience, would definitely want to come back

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by FiberSmith Great location and room/public areas not so great
This property has tremendous potential. It is in a great area close to the airport. The rooms are well kept, modern and luxurious. The club floor is nice and the club facility well kept. The only negative during our stay was a "pack" of children running about playing and screaming at high volume in the public areas including the bar during the afternoon and evening. There appeared to be no supervision of these small ones at all. The staff seemed troubled and apologetic but made no attempt to intervene. We were told that this had been going on since noon on that day and was associated with a wedding at the hotel. It is difficult for me to recommend Crowne Plaza when such disruptions are tolerated. We noted a plaque in the lobby that said that well behaved children must be under supervision at all times. Apparently poorly behaved children are not subject to this rule!
