the room was noisy and uncomfortable, you could hear the footsteps above the floor and the wind was coming in through the heater system. it was terrible..

We would have liked to take advantage of the breakfast, but the operating hours started after 7AM. Wish it could have been about 6:00 or 6:30 so we could enjoy the cinnamon rolls. They are the best. Thanks.

I called and wanted two rooms for 6 people. Me, my wife, and four kids. When I checked in, I got two rooms with one King bed in them. I wanted 2-2 queen bedrooms. I went down to switch out one king room for a 2 queen room. When I got back to the room, the front desk girl called to have me go back down to resign another sheet. The room was a suite that had two queens plus a pull out couch. I could have just had all 6 of us stay in that room had I known but I didn't want to change anything else. I had enough dealing with the front desk girl. I had travelled for 12 hours with 4 kids and all I wanted was two rooms with 2 queen beds and just be left alone. I always stay at a HI but I will look for other hotels now. The value was not there. It seems like the front desk girl was highly unexperienced and I just wanted what I always get at a Holiday Inn. The internet code given to me was wrong and then expired at 11pm. Not a good time to change codes. Noon would be better obvioulsy.

Desk attendent did not seem to understand English very well. I asked for an upgrade (being a Platinum PC member) and she never responded at all, as if she didn't understand my request and just proceeded to check me in in the already assigned room.

When I checked in as a Platinum PC member, I did not get recognized as such, was offered no water/treat nor was I offered an upgrade. New hotel and it was nice, just need to train the staff.

All right already, enough of these surveys! I like this hotel so much I'll be staying there every Friday Night for the rest of the year! he he he - I'm sorry, but the survey requests are the only thing I don't care for. If you're in Dumas, Texas, don't go anywhere else. It may be more $ than elsewhere, but it's more than well worth it ! I wasn't kidding though, I will be staying here every Friday night indefinitely, as a stay over as a part of my line of work. Thank you Holiday Inn - Your Dumas hotel staff is GREAT !
