Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by roomy and staffs are friendly Staffs are nice and friendly. A kid pool nice for family. Room has a separate spacious living room but it is too dark. room smells. Sound proof is poor being next to the lobby, I could hear music all night long. August 22, 2014

In fairness to HIE, I did not specify my expectations when I made the reservation, and did not request another guest room when I discovered that the expected amenities were not available. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Service The staff and managers at this hotel are terrible. They make you feel like you are an inconvenience to them. They all need to attend a class on what it means to serve a customer. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Kentucky on our way home and their service was outstanding. The Duncan, SC hotel should learn from them or remove them (including the management) entriely from this hotel. I have never felt this way by any other staff at other hotels. I would never stay at this hotel again even if it was for free. July 28, 2014
