Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by gfrance99 Great view and lovely breakfast
Just a one night stay but was easy check in and comfortable room. Breakfast was really nice and the hotel gives a great view over the Tay. Only negative which is not the Hotel's fault was the excessive noise of the road works on going at the moment.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Attentive friendly staff; class views of Tay bridge
Brilliant location for both ease of arrival, departure (just off the Tay bridge) and walking distance of venues of Nearly Blues Festival, historic docks area and varied restaurants and bars; multi-story parking with access into reception; fantastic views from reception/dining/lounge area with spacious airy feel; all staff knowledgeable and friendly; would recommend to anyone visiting Dundee and surrounding area

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nick from west sussex Comfortable and great location
We stayed at the hotel for 16 nights and 12 of us on business. No bad points for the hotel however, if i were to make comments, i would..
1) Have a room key test button near the lifts, as most of the times i went to the room and the key would not work, so had to come back to reception and re cut the key.
2)Internet could be doing with upgrade
3) Bar prices are high
other than that
all is good.

Extremely disappointed with the stay at HI Dundee - incredibly expensive and just not up to standard I expect as a Diamond member. Tiny room, no Diamond benefits, wifi useless.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Brown Hobbit Hotel for Open
Stayed at this hotel for The Open in 2015. It's location was very good. Near a parking garage and walking distance to the bus station. There was construction across the street so it was very noisy during the day. The hotel is located on the main street so there was constant traffic. This contributed to the noise level even at night. Breakfast was complimentary. It was adequate but got boring after the a while. Served the same food every morning. The room was very spartan. Minimal toiletries. This hotel served its purpose by providing us a place to stay for The Open at St. Andrews. However, its very sterile in appearance. The hotel needs an upgrade.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Golf Spectator Soft Bed and Warm Room.
It would have helped if we could have modified the room temperature and had a firmer bed. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay and was very convenient for St Andrews. The parking facilities were very convenient for the hotel.
