Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor quality and service I had the misfortune to stay at this hotel recently and I will never return despite having to pay frequent trips to Dunstable on business. On arrival I was allocated to a room on the 3rd floor which had a smell of stagnant water and cigarette smoke. After changing rooms to one on the first floor, I tried to access the free wifi to undertake some urgent work for the morning but the signal was so weak the internet kept freezing out. I was provided with an alternative internet password by the hotel staff but the problem persisted. The mobile phone signal in the room was also poor so I tried using the room telephone to make a call only to find that there was no phone cable attached! I went to the receptionist to report this and she confirmed that she would resolve the matter. Unsurprisingly I was not contacted by any member of staff for the rest of the night and when I checked out of the hotel the following morning I was met with complete indifference from the receptionist when I asked her why she had not made any attempt to resolve this matter the night before. The food quality at the hotel is basic with plently of fried food options for evening meal but little else. The breakfast choice is adequate but the fruit juice dispenser is poor and the apple juice I expected to receive from the machine was just cold water. This was my second experience of staying at this hotel and will without doubt be my last. November 24, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Half board value hotel We booked a half board refundable double room with sofa bed for three guests (although only two ended up staying) which was good value. It was nice to have the sofa bed made up on arrival and we had a comfortable night's sleep. The food had generous portions for the evening meal and there was the average choice of breakfast... could do with some variety for hot options, as it is sausage, scrambled eggs or nothing... bacon wouldn't go amiss for those of us who dislike sausages. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 VERY GOOD LOCATION AND SERVICE ARRIVED LATE AT 11.30PM, CHECKED IN QUICKLY, GREAT ROOM, QUICK BREAKFAST IN THE MORNING AND AT MY MEETING WITH HARTWELL FORD 1 MINUTE DOWN THE ROAD AT 8.15AM. MUCH BETTER THAN DRIVING FROM BRADFORD ON THE MORNING OF THE MEETING. November 19, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gret hotel Great hotel, very clean, great staff, plenty of parking. The evening menu is very basic and a bit bland. The hotel is conveniently located on the A5 just outside Dunstable. The rooms are well equiped although in common with all Holiday Inn Expresses that I've stayed in the heating is a bit weak. There's plenty of hot water and the basic complimentary breakfast is fabulous. November 17, 2014
