Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Stay Ever (con't) As I stated previously, we left our two bags in the little room behind the front desk like we always do. We told the front desk clerk that we would return to check-in about 3:00PM-the regular check-in time. It was about 5:00PM (five PM) when we returned to check-in. We checked in and were sent to room 103. We unlocked the door and went in. I was shocked to find the room looking like a cyclone hit it. The beds were unmade, there were Whataburger food bags all over the room, etc. It appeared that the maids had not been in there in several days. I called the front desk, and the clerk came down to see the room. Everyone kind of acted like we were supposed to wait while the room was cleaned. Since we had arrived at 11:00AM, it was obvious that we were there, as our bags were in the office. The clerk was able to provide keys to room 125 at the other end of the hall. This was a challenge, as my husband uses oxygen 24/7 and is 85 years old, and it taxed him to walk the full length of the building. The front desk clerk did bring our bags to us. I don't know how long we would have had to wait, if we had gotten back at 3:00PM as we had planned. We were disappointed in the breakfast buffet, especially Tuesday morning. The omelets were dried out, there weren't any cinnamon rolls either morning-and there had been, because the empty trays were sitting there empty--both things that we look forward to. As I mentioned earlier, we were terribly disappointed with this stay, we have never had to wait for our room. Since there are other choices in Eagle Pass now, we may opt one of them on our next visit. We have always enjoyed the Holiday Inn Express, but this stay has left a bad taste in our mouths!! He allowed me to select a room in the hotel to insure noise reduction and comfort. When I asked him questions about Eagle Pass, he was very knowledgable. The room was large and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was available with a variety of choices including fresh fruit. Check out was an ease. I would recommend this location to people visiting Eagle Pass and the surrounding areas. July 8, 2013

The clerk could not get off the phone fast enough, He was to call me back with a response. 730 AM still no phone call and no hot water. Upon checking out I asked the clerk if he was really going to charge me full price for a room with no hot water, He said he would have the manager call me. To date still no phone call. I am a platium member, and diamond member at another hotel. I spent over 200 nights last year in hotels and this is the bottom of the barrel. April 29, 2013

This property is similar to other properties well kept, clean, and friend service. However, on two occasions during my week stay...the room cards deactivated causing me to walk around the building and get the cards reprogrammed. Has an awesome fitness room! April 25, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Room key problem We normally spend two nights each month in this facility. A consistent problem is on the second night we need to get our room key re-keyed. This denies us the ability to enter a door closer to our room. It is requires us to enter the front entrance. This is the only Holiday Inn where we have encountered this problem and we are seasoned travelers. In talking with other hotel guests they have the same problem. The staff has always been courtereous and have tried to explain the problem but have never been able to correct it. Yes, we will continue to use this property because the friendly staff recognizes us and it suits our needs. April 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice building... forgot a couple of perks I stay at IHG about 30-40 days per year. I admit I try to maximize my perks by staying at the same chain whenever possible. I try not to let the little things bother me as I know IHG is not the premium chains. This time room service didn't refresh my coffee supplies in the room and there was no paper at the door. I was also not recognized as a Platinum member as usual. I can deal with that if everything else is in line. Would still refer others to this hotel as it was clean, comfortable and quiet. Just not the usual small things I am used to. Sorry, I am a creature of habit, what can I say. March 26, 2013
