Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor to nonexistent internet service in room When I called the front desk the night clerk said internet service is just poor for Eastland area. I walked over to mcdonalds across parking lot and logged on to a quite adequate wifi service. Later I discovered the internet service was quite good in the lobby of the hotel. When I mentioned this to front desk just got a blank uncaring attitude. I won't stay at this hotel again if I can avoid it. March 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff.... Stayed for four nights over Christmas in a suite with kids + dog. Pros: The staff were exceptionally courteous and nice. The beds were moderately firm, the desk was good, as well as the pull-out couch. The heater / air conditioner worked very well, not fluctuating the temperature hardly at all. Nice big bathroom in the suites. Our pooch was allowed with a small fee. Cons (very minor): The first suite we were in had a different TV than the rest, as well as the cable service not working (I scanned for channels on that TV to no avail), so we moved to a separate room for the remainder three nights. Wifi signal was much better on the second floor over the third, but the speed was still pretty slow (not surprising considering this is a rural area). Our door cards had to repeatedly be re-done by the desk, and we were told that having cell phones close to the cards can cause this (Never been a case with my other magnetic stripe cards....). Continental breakfast could use a little more, but that is hard when there are so few people in the hotel sometimes. Overall: For travelling through or an extended stay, it is a good place to be. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleased with experience Reserved a suite online with some trepidation. When we arrived the suite was unavailable but they compensated for it financially. The room was great, we enjoyed the beds. Our room overlooked the pool so it was noisy from the people in the pool area but not unbearable. Breakfast would have been perfect if their had been some fruit. Would recommend. October 16, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service and Very Friendly We visited family in Breckenridge where there is nowhere to stay. We called Holiday Inn Express in Eastland to stay for the night. The female desk clerk was very kind and was even just as kind when I asked about our poodle staying with us at the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, she checked us in to a very nice room and was even friendly and nice to our dog. The room was very clean and fresh. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was hot, fresh and very good. There was plenty of room to take our puppy outside to do his business and stretch his legs. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, even to Breckenridge, that would like a clean, nice well priced place to stay for either a night or a vacation. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never Again My husband and I were coming into town from a wedding in Waco and thought we would stay the night in Eastland due to having family in the area. We made reservations months before hand and we ended up arriving for check in at around 11 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013. My husband had to wait at the front for an attendant. He then discovered a note at the front desk that said, "I'm in the breakfast room. - Henry" He then went to the breakfast room and located the worker. Henry was polite and checked us in. We were shocked to see how dirty our hotel room was. There was feces inside the toilet, urine caked on the toilet seat, soap scrum on the bathroom counter-tops and fingerprints along with dust on the furniture. I am unsure if the refridgerators were being repaired but it was just sitting in the middle of the floor plugged in but was very un-appealing top the eye. We then re-turned to the front desk where we had to go get Henry from the breakfast area again. We informed him of the issue and asked to see another room. Again, Henry was polite and issued us another room. The new room was not clean either. So for the third and final time, we located Henry to refund us. Luckily we were able to find a different hotel to stay in. My husband is a rewards member and stays at Holiday Inn for business frequently. However, Eastland will not be a Holiday Inn we will return to nor recommend to anyone. We have pictures of the first room if management needs to see. Henry, the attendant did apologize and mention that there were past problems with this. He refunded us without problem. June 7, 2013

Front desk girl was nice and helpful. Room prices were a little high but room was clean and comfortable. Nearly full and we felt fortunate to stay. May 2, 2013

Most guests are hardworking oil field workers who come here for one thing - a good nights' REST, and they get it because it's quiet and comfortable. if you check in early, be sure to come back down to the front desk after 5:00 for the free fresh baked cookies....they're AWESOME! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by problems with stay when i checked in i was given a room with no fridge. I went down to get the room changed and they gave me a room with no place to hang my clothes. I went down a third time and was informed that they could give me a double queen room on the 1st floor if that was acceptable. I took this room. After getting in the room I found the coffee maker tripped the GFI breaker every time it was plugged in. I reported this to the clerk on duty and they said it would get taken care of the next day, Later that night while trying to sleep i noticed two slits in the curtains that allowed light to go directly onto my pillow. I had to rearrange the curtains to block out this light. I reported this to the day clerk the next day and reiterated my problem with the coffee maker. I was told both would be taken care of. By the end of my 5 day stay nothing had changed. Add to this the ice machine is in the middle of the hall and all night long you can hear it making ice. Needless to say I will not stay there again. Front desk people were very nice and the breakfast options were great. Good place to stop on I-20 and not in the big city. Plenty of food options close by plus a big Walmart. December 17, 2012
