Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Basics; comfortable bed, good location.
We spent 3 nights at the Holiday Inn Express, Edinburgh Center. It's fairly basic and since we spent most of our time out exploring Edinburgh, it met our needs. We were very disappointed to arrive and find we were given a room for wheelchair guests. I am 5 foot 3 inches, and needed to almost get on my knees to use the sink. They would not give us a different room until the next day, but first we had to check out and check in again. Take all our luggage to the front desk and leave it until another room was ready. The noise from a nearby restaurant and or bar was very loud, similar to being next to a sports stadium. The windows needed to be left open for fresh cool air. No A/C.

Excellent hotel especially for playhouse. Breakfast choice great. Highly recommend will return at some point.

The Holiday Inn is ideal for staying in central Edinburgh for a business trip. Comfortable accommodation conveniently placed.

We have used this hotel on numerous occasions, it offers a good location and reasonable value for money apart for the parking which in my opinion is too expensive at £14 per night.

I could have rated my stay higher except that the up and down floor levels were not convenient.

The hotel is conveniently located for visiting the centre of Edinburgh. The room is clean and comfortable at a reasonable price, and the bed provides a comfortable and warm sleep. The staff are friendly, speak of many languages, and were really happy to note down a comment I made for improving something in the lobby's toilets. The check-out and check-in were very efficient despite the fact that there were many people at the reception.
