Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 My go-to place, always!! A few glitches with the renovations still in progress but the staff more than makes up for them. Very concerned about our stay and eager to make a customer feel welcome and at ease. November 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Staff courtesy and professionalism Your staff, in particular, Tony was such a delight to deal with. He was so friendly, courteous and professional. He went above and beyond with helpfulness and was very engaging to interact with - nice smile! November 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great beds and wonderful breakfasts As per previous comments regarding the renovations. November 21, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Front Lobby The sofas for the guests to wait are directly opposite the front doors. When the automatic doors open the cold air from outside comes directly to the people sitting on the sofas November 20, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It was alright A little dissapointed overall in experience, but for a quick one night stay it did the trick. We did not get the king size bed that we asked for, and instead had a room with two queens. The one bed had these metal brackets that stuck out from the frame and resulted in one large bruise on my leg during a middle of the night bathroom break. The microwave and fridge being in the bathroom was really weird and there was no bathroom fan. The breakfast was ice cold in the morning but once microwaved it was pretty good. The room was very clean and the staff were friendly enough. The renovations were a little offputting, but for downtown edmonton it wasn't too bad. Overall, I would stay again for the price of the room and location, just don't expect a 5 star resort experience. November 20, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Decent hotel Decent hotel for downtown edmonton. Parking is terrible. Not enought stalls in public city lot they use for all the guests. Hard to find a spot to park and lot is small and difficult to park in. November 18, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for a large group We stayed at the Edmonton Downtown this November as a group for my sister's wedding. For the most part, they were accommodating for our needs. The only thing that made us rethink our stay, was the fact they we had several family members and friends that we wanted to entertain better wedding festivities. There was no lounge to sit in, and no executive suite to stay in. My mom requested an executive suite or a larger room to host in, but the hotel refused, even when we asked back in July. They explained that it would be perfectly fine to have extra guests in our room. The Friday night of the wedding, we maybe had 10 people in my mom and dad's king suite and we got in trouble from the front desk for the capacity and noise. My mom then suggested we move to a larger room, but the hotel staff refused once again. We were very upset by their lack of accommodations, seeing as we requested a larger room in July. We also had trouble solidifying the wedding rate for the rooms. My sister was told that no matter what, guests of her wedding would be offered the wedding block rate. When I went to book my room, the hotel claimed I "missed" the due date too book a room, and would charge me almost double the wedding rate. Fortunately my sister reminded them of their deal and we were all put on the wedding block rate. Other than those two things, it was a good hotel for a large group. The rooms were clean, and our rooms were relatively close to each other. My sister's bridal suite was perfect for us bridesmaids to get ready. November 14, 2014
