I have been staying at this hotel chain for the last 10 years and have never had a bad experience in any country I stayed in.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Dirty Room, Some Staff OK, Hard to Get To, Won't Stay Again
We booked the double queen suite and upon entering our room it was dirty. The mirror and windows had finger prints all over it, the tub was dirty, the granite counter tops had cup stains on them, we actually wiped chocolate off the tiles in the kitchenette, and the room was dusty. We complained immediately, they attempted to change our room and it was just as dirty because you could see the dust along the top of the lamp shades. YUCK! We were so disappointed. They did attempt to fix it, but it set the whole trip off. They told us our room would be cleaned the next day, we went out early, returned at 2pm to have a nap and the room still hadn't been touched, so we called downstairs AGAIN, and they apologized, and they did try to clean it. We never did feel like the room was "clean" the entire time we were there, and due to the state of the room, we didn't want to risk much breakfast downstairs. The hotel is hard to find if you don't know the city well. Also, the morning we went to check out, we called downstairs to ask if the gentleman could bring up a cart to us, and he said he couldn't leave the front desk, yet within 2 minutes when I went down to get the cart, I found him just down the hall from us, so how is this possible? The elevator smelled like pot. Once we loaded our car, I had to wait for the gentleman who was still NOT at the desk, as I was not sure if he needed anything further from me upon check out. All in all, we will not be using this hotel for business, pleasure or any other reason, unless we are forced to. As a travel agent, I have performed hundreds of hotel inspections and this one falls into my bottom five. There are much better, more economical, and better valued properties in Edmonton. On a positive note, the front desk staff did greet us each time we passed by. The Housekeeping Supervisor did try to address the issue, but the General Manager should not have ducked the situation when we complained a second time.
