This property is closer to West Edmonton Mall and the rooms are decent though the carpets are in serious need of replacement. The breakfast was ok with not much of bakery stuff compared to other HIE properties that I have stayed at. The room size was decent as well. The Wi Fi worked very well. However, at the time of check in, I was not upgraded even though I'm a Platinum Elite member of Priority Club Rewards. I was informed that the hotel was fully booked which is a possibility. But as is my wont, I went online upon check in and found out that 2 suites were available. The front desk pretended ignorance and said that can't be possible. I called PC customer service and the agent agreed with me and said that he can also see the same availability. I was transferred to the Guest Relations and the Agent spoke to the hotel and came back to me saying that he can't see any such availability. I asked him if I book online to prove my point, will he get my money refunded. All he said was that he is creating a complaint which led me to believe that something is amiss and PC rewards can't control their loyalty program implementation. Time to say goodbye to my loyalty, I think.

This is an old hotel. They have remoldeled but some of the simplest things seem to have been placed into the wrong location. Example, Toilet Paper Roll.. litterially next to you on the toilet.. but so close that your knee hits the roll off the wall. Second, the room I was in was a double.. One bed with a pull out couch. I ordered some food and brought it up to the room to realize that there was no coffee table in front of the couch. I called down to the front desk and they said that they had no coffee tabels as it was not required becuase of the pull out couch. ?????? The third thing was the internet. As the notice tells you when you log into the internet, that if a user uses too much band width, they will be throttled. I also had a meeting room at this location, but when I arrived, I asked that the hotel keep the meeting room locked!!!!! until my arrival in the morning. When I arrive the morning of my meeting, the room is wide open with all my electronics revieled to the world to see. I do not concider this secure if it is left open X-amount of time prior to me arriving at the meeting room. There was clear instructions that I would go to the front desk and they would then notify someone to open the room for me. It literally took 4-days before this actually happened this way which by then, was my last day.
I really dont understand why this is . . my company pays good money for both a room and a meeting room. Personnally I would not go here again if i was paying myself. But I am not.. so .. it is what it is.
The last thing i would mention is the question above.. Do I Recommend this Property.. I only had either YES or NO to answer the question. I wish there was a third option.. either Other or None. I would have chose not to answer this..

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GrizzlyFixit Great place awesome staff
I have stayed at this location more than once. I am usually here for a week at a time. Every time I check in many of the front desk staff are people I have seen over and over again. They take care to make sure the clients are well taken care of. I use the weight room often however I wish they would add some free weights. There is more than enough room in the gym to add a small amount of free weights.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Courtney Good Breakfast and comfortable bed
The staff I encountered were very inattentive. They didn't explain anything when I checked in, just told me to sign and go to the second floor for my room.
The room was spacious, and the king bed was comfortable. I appreciated having a mini fridge, and the tv channels were good. Note that the sound proofing is lacking; if there are screaming children, you hear them (we heard some).
Breakfast was fantastic; a good variety. But staff didn't seem to be cleaning the tables.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel because it is clean, a convenient distance from the mall and the breakfast is so good first thing in the morning.

We stayed for three nights so we could experience the West Edmonton Mall. Rooms were very clean, liked the breakfast option (only wished they had breakfast open later); gym was clean; staff were great. Nice and close to the mall so drive was very short. Overall a great experience. Will definitely stay there again!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Badgolfer6472 Clean and comfortable with not so great cable.
At some point I don't know when it happened the television choices went from great to being very poor. Evenings I'm done with business I want to relax, that is not watching business channels. Need to go back to old channels, I want movies or sport or sitcoms, not news channel after news channel. Sorry guys but it is the only thing I got, from when you walk in front desk is great to the room the washroom is all great the televisions are great, it is just the channels that are a dissapointment.

All was good except the almost unedible so-called omelettes with cream cheese.

Our recent stay of March 23,2013.
Hotel front desk staff welcoming and friendly
Room was clean and bed comfortable, but dated
When returning to hotel at night other guests were double parked
so there was no where to park. After telling front desk we were
told to park in handicapped parking or park across the road.
I Found this to be annoying as we are paying the same as
everyone else.
Also when we down for breakfast it was so crowded
no where to sit and children running everywhere. Had to
scramble to get a coffee and took it back to our room. Once again
we paid the same amount as everyone else to get minimum convenience. We have using holiday Inn for at least 18 years and
stayed at your Inn in many locations and this stay was possibly the worst stay.
Water for priority members and a piece of chocolate is not much
recognition for over 18 years of loyalty.
