Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Make sure to read the fine print I travel extensively and have for years and I am pretty easy going when it comes to accomodations and dealing with issues, it is part of the territory with traveling. Not everything is perfect all the time. But this location in El Dorado takes the cake. First of all the priortity profile that you may or may not have on file with Holiday Inn apparently does not mean ANYTHING to ANYONE at this location. I booked the room online with my priority number, (thinking this mattered) and when I arrived my reservations had been changed to a smoking room with a smaller bed than what I had asked for. The staff behind the counter proceeded to tell me what "I" had done incorrectly and I had obviously completed my priority profile wrong. The staff stated to me I would get what they had....... So much for customer service. While this was taking place a gentleman, and I use that term very lightly, rudly interrupted the conversation and told me " You should have read the fine print when booking online". So be aware priority members, if you book online you may not get what you asked for. What is really sad, the guy who interrupted was the supervisor. And the story continues.... After a very long day, I returned to relax, the television in the room did not have any sound so I called the front desk. The lady whom answered stated this after I explained my issue, " I does not know what to tell you, I guess you wont be watchin TV tonight"...Really......... I dont expect for hotel staff to be highly educated but at least have a little common courtesy and respect for your customers. People like myself who spend a lot of time away from our homes and families to earn a living expect entities like a Holiday Inn Express to at least be courteous and polite to thier guest who make sacrifices to provide for our families. This is the least a decent person could do. This will be the last time I stay at a Holiday Inn Express and I suggest anyone who reads this review to choose another option when visiting El Dorado!!!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and friendly staff! We were greeted by a friendly, helpful associate and we immediately felt at home. The grounds were well kept, the lobby was clean, and when we entered our room, it was very clean and fresh smelling. The beds comfy, the bathroom clean and we felt safe. This property apparently has a manager that cares. The staff, including the maid service are to be commended for excellent customer service. In addition, the breakfast bar was well kept, clean, and was always well stocked. Our experience couldn't have been any better. We will stay at this hotel when we visit the area. February 7, 2013
