Overall a nice place to stay but there were several sports teams staying there. It would have been nice if there were all placed in one wing of the hotel to keep the noise level down versus being spread throughout the hotel.

Checking in and out was super with friendly and efficient staff. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Generally check out early and don't have breakfast.. Had breakfast and it was outstanding with many choices and well maintained.

We checked in on Saturday night at around 9pm. There was just one employee at the check in desk. He was on the phone with a customer. Quietly waited for 10 minutes before he was done with the phone. No eye contact. No greet. No: I'll be with you shortly. Doesn't seem to be the too friendly type...or maybe not properly trained. Checked into a room on the 2nd floor. The room was nice and clean. Only problem there is a whole wing of rooms that are right above the banquet rooms below. I could feel the vibrations of the subwoofer. It was like a constant pumping sound. Wanted to see if there were other rooms available but there was a softball or soccer conference in town with parents and their kids....oh well...i guess I won't be staying here ever again.

I have stayed at this HI Express in Sacramento about 400 nights in the past 10 years.
This crew runs a great hotel. It is consistently very, very clean. The rooms are a little bigger than the typical new HIE. The staff is really friendly, especially the front desk crew, and they treat me well on each visit.
They are consistently the 2nd least expensive in the Sac area, but are the nicest IHG accommodations in the area behind the Staybridge in Natomis, which is generally $50 to $60 per night more expensive and generally full, especially for last minute stays.
Surrounding the hotel is a newer part of Elk Grove that is safe and unusually clean for the City of Sac. There are all the familiar chain restaurants within a mile or so and there is easy access to the 99.

It was my first stay at this Hotel. I stay at Holiday Inn's whenever possible. Tha staff was fantastic and the room was great. I will stat there whenever I go to Sac.
