Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Staff is very nice at this hotel and very comfortable place to stay We stayed for several weeks in July and the staff was great at this hotel. They really made us feel comfortable in our home away from home. Brenda, who runs the breakfast, was always attentive to our needs and always did so with a smile. Our children enjoyed the breakfast very much too. Amber was also very helpful and kind. Nick, who does the major cleaning, such as the floors and dining is a very hard worker. Every time we saw him he was hard at work and took pride in what he did, with a friendly smile. The front desk staff, Bill and Mike were also great. They were both very friendly and helpful at all times and always took the time to answer questions. The other front desk staff was also very nice, but am not sure of their names. Finally, all the housekeeping on third floor was very courteous and helpful as well. Overall, we would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Elkins area. It is located in downtown, across from the historic train station which makes it great for kids to see the train pull in everyday. We look forward to staying here again! July 29, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff, Bad conditions I have stayed at Holiday Inns before and they have always exceeded my expectations, this one lacked. While the staff was friendly and the hotel looked good on the outside, don't judge a book by it's cover. The ventilation in the pool must not have been working, we had to open the side doors so our eyes wouldn't water from the gases. The fitness area is outdated equipment and the rooms need updated, the air conditioner was leaking and the room smelled musty. The breakfast was good, not what you find at the cheaper hotels and it was stocked nicely. I really expected more for what we paid. I could've stayed at the little motel down the road with some of my other family for $40 less a night for the same thing. July 25, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by bad room location This was my second stay at this location.The first visit was very nice and the staff was very professional.I was thanked for being a priority club member and was given a nice room on the third floor. On this visit I was not greeted as a member.The room I was given was the first room off the lobby.This room was right across from the elevator and the ice machine.The room was also facing the parking lot.I could hear every car and person coming into the lot. When leaving in the morning,the person behind the desk never looked up from his newspaper to greet anybody leaving the hotel. July 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great overnight visit We were immediately made comfortable by the desk clerk. He offered extra help with our handicapped son. We were accompanied by four grandchildren who had to look at everything. No one seemed to mind them going back and forth. They were treated very well. As soon as we checked in, the staff started readying the lifts at the pool as if they knew we would need them. We were pleased by the cleanliness of all areas. The children keep asking to go back. Traveled with my daughter and 16 yr old grandson for a adventurous weekend. Everything met and exceeded our expectations. Very enjoyable and relaxing. July 15, 2014
