I asked for a room away from the elevator. The room I was given was next to the elevator and the elevator was audible making the room noisy.

We were in the area for a family reunion. We have stayed in other hotels/motels in the area in the past and Holiday Inn was the best so far.

This is a great hotel for its location to the railroad, and music shows. There are several good restaurants within walking distance. the bed and pillows were very comfortable. This is my second time staying in this hotel, and would recommend for staying in Elkins.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Elkins visitor Great staff and a comfortable stay
This was our second stay at Holiday Inn Express in Elkins, WV. We enjoyed our first visit so chose to stay again rather than another chain. Minor problems with our first room were resolved quickly the next morning by the manager who changed our room. We were delighted with the second room and the speed in which the staff handled the my issues.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by djruth Attentive Staff - Elkins Holiday Inn Express
The Elkins Holiday Inn Express truly cares about its guests. I have never experienced a group of folks so pleasant. Fresh warm cookies in the evening, together with fresh coffee and tea, made for an exceptional, enjoyable stay. Especially important, the beds were comfortable and clean. The noise-level was nearly non-existent. Special thanks to all of the staff for their friendly, customer-focused approach!

Ventilation in the pool was very bad the chlorine fumes burned your eyes. The wi if was very hard to connect and sometimes wouldn't connect at all.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lisa O. Very Clean and Comfortable
Everything you would want in a mid-range hotel room: wi-fi, fridge, microwave, iron; ice, soda and snack machines down the hall. Very clean room and bathroom, comfortable mattress. I slept well. The breakfast was very generous. Granted, the cooked food was a little pre-fab processed (there was a pancake machine to make your own), but there was also fresh fruit, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, toast, juice, etc., so there was plenty to eat if you didn't want the cooked food. Cookies in the afternoon. When it sounded like the people above me were throwing furniture, the manager immediately went to speak to them, and it stopped. The hotel is basically in a giant parking lot, so there is no real outdoor experience, but as I say, clean and comfortable, and I would stay there again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by cameo674 Nice option close to train station
The Elkins Holiday Inn Express was a clean hotel that was within walking distance of downtown and all of the tourist type things that we chose to visit like the train and variety show. I appreciated that the hotel had suction cup grab handles for their guests to borrow to assist my Aunt with getting in and out of the shower. I wish more hotels offered them for their elderly guests. Even though the hotel was quite busy during our stay, we never overheard the neighboring rooms which was greatly appreciated. I would definitely stay here again.
