Only issue I had was with people who came in late at night, took two rooms across from each other, and decided to play musical rooms. Going in and out of each one, letting the doors slam shut.
Then at 5:30 am they were at it again, only good thing about that is I was getting up at the same time. But I am sure other rooms were pretty upset. I would have hoped the staff to be more on top of that.

I had a fantastic stay! The staff was great, very helpful. They had a guest appreciation spaghetti dinner, plus free pancakes every night! I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Elko.

We stayed in a first floor handicap suite because our reservation was somehow messed up. Room was fine, but the bed was way too soft. It was the breakfast, however, that ruined the stay for us. The selections available -- cereal choices, sweet rolls, etc. -- were just average. The sausages were overlooked and hard. The omelette were still frozen when put in the warming tray! After 10 minutes they were still ice cold. When I told the kitchen help about the omelette a, she grimaced, looked very unhappy, then proceeded to give me another omelette that she said was ready. It too was ice cold. I gave up and skipped breakfast. And we left the hotel as quickly as we could, never to return.

I thoroughly enjoy staying at HI Expresses. They are always my first choice when I'm traveling. The rooms are always above standard in terms of amenities, such as having a fridge and microwave, a nice TV, and nice furniture. Most importantly, the beds are comfortable, with the exception of the pillows. I tend to dislike hotel pillows, particularly the overly fluffy ones with feathers. I always travel with my own pillows to remedy this. Overall, this Holiday Inn Express was excellent and seemed very new. I loved the decor of the lobby and main entrance. The staff was friendly, including one woman who held the door open for me as I exited with my luggage. As always, there was a large variety of breakfast options, and the gentleman overseeing the breakfast was attentive to customer needs. He made sure the items were always stocked to the best of his ability. HI Express could freshen up its breakfast lineup and offer healthier egg options with less cheese and yogurt with less sugar. HI Expresses have gotten expensive as of late, but the breakfasts do not seem to match the upgrade in price. HI Expresses used to be a hotel chain a step above budget hotels, but now they seem to want to align themselves with luxury hotels and chains with suites in the name.

I was traveling through to my destination and pick this hotel to stop and rest for the night.
Was a great choice, comfortable and quite but not far from getting something to eat or maybe taken some sight seeing and/or entertainment.

We paid a lot for this room compared to others and were disappointed to discover there was no swimming pool for the kids which is usually why we pick this chain. Another disappointment was that our room had no microwave or fridge which we have always had in the past and have come to expect. We put our well deserved drinks in the fridge after a long day of driving so were very disappointed when there wasn't one. Also, the microwave was always trusty to heat up our kids dinner, so again a big disappointment. At breakfast they had run out of forks due to doing the pancake breakfast the night before and having too low of stock. Also, there was no cream for coffee (which is what I look forward to the most in the morning) and the pancake machine was broken (which is what my kids look forward to the most :( The staff were friendly enough and tried their best but the things we expect in a Holiday Inn Express didn't deliver at this one. The price also didn't measure up. No Pool, fridge, microwave, CREAM in coffee and pancakes (let alone forks for pancakes) ... and none of the things we loved about these hotels and all of them undelivered. A fail on all levels. As loyal customers of this chain I'm afraid we will change our mind in the future due to all these reasons.

The entry to the room was tile, the entry and bathroom were sticky when you walked in. I reported this to the front desk and he said sorry they were having problems with housekeeping.. not thank you and actually writes it down or sends someone up to fix it.
I'm very loyal to this chain of hotels but this one fell way short of the of the standard I expect.
Breakfast at the hotel was also a joke. they had no plates for your food only bowls, and no milk except chocolate if you wanted cereal. the biscuits and eggs we under cooked and the quality control at this hotel need to greatly improve. I stay at these hotels all across the country for work but will think twice before I stay here again.

Headed east from California and this was a good first night stop. Nice to have a known good brand located here. Lots of restaurants in the immediate area as well as grocery stores, etc. Made it easy to grab a few things we'd forgotten and get ready for the long day ahead. I'd stay here again.
